I think for that he'd have to be employed by Minelab.  🙂 They could just hire him to make the WM13 to replace the WM12.  With a built in SP01 into the WM12 so then when the speakers get plugged into the WM12 they have the benefits of the SP01, and if you use the built in WM12 speaker it also has the benefits to a degree, they'd probably need to use a better speaker in it though.  ahh if only we lived in an ideal world.    Even if it was an optional accessory, I'd buy it!

I get annoyed by all the cords just as much as the next guy, I hate cords dangling everywhere so I made my cords custom size so they fit exactly where I need them to on the harness.  Helps with the mess of cords a bit but I guess one of the big things I liked about the GPZ was getting rid of all the cords I had on the GPX, I got a taste of that when I got the QED, completely cord free. So using the SP01 on it adds a bunch of cords back on.    In my ideal world the GPZ would be a bit lighter as I love using it with no harness, no cords, just the detector and the WM12, I do that on my lazy days where I can't be bothered getting all rigged up and other than the weight it's an enjoyable experience.  So that's when a WM12 with built in SP01 would be perfect.

I got shorter cables from Coiltek......no more dangling heavy cables......

    Well it’s 200 for a WM12 and 200 for an SP01 so i guess that price is a wash. 🤣🤣

The SP01 is definitely not a WM12...... Way different it actually assist with signals by choosing filters that change a frequency and sound ........ It's a cool little box.....

Here is what I would like to see. An SPO1 that also has a built-in speaker and the wireless capabilities to just hook up to the 7000 and ProSonic. I would like to use my SP01 more often but I just don’t like having the WM 12 with a cord to an SP01 with a cord to a speaker.  In my opinion it just gets to be too much.  Same when i would use it with my pro sonic hook up to the SDC.  I’m not an electrician by any means but would it really be that hard to add those two things? Even if it was a little bigger it would be better than having all the corded mess.

Yeah he can add Wi-Fi or Bluetooth with a speaker and now the SP01 will cost $399.00 and be a bit larger too ...... I got mine from Rob's for $199.00 and is very small and light.

Works like a dream and I don't wear headphones anymore.

    Hey Manny,

Glad to hear you're still getting out.  I used to be an avid gold dredgers, so I spent many years dredging all through Humbug Creek.  Down low around the China Dam, it's deep in some sections and mostly fine gold from what I found.  I didn't find many sizable flakes, so if someone rounded up 50 grams of flakes, that is awesome!

We ran anywhere from a 4 inch to 5 inch 20 years ago down there.  We always found gold, but not sure it was enough to pay for fuel, food and expenses, let alone the steep inclines/declines to get the big dredge into the water.  That being said, it was fun and you're always hoping for a good crack/crevice to hide some goodies.

Congrats on your success, wishing you many more nuggets to boot.

    Rob

Still hunting thanks to you...... Haven't found big nuggets, but something.....

    Nice nugs, Manny!

I, too, live in AZ. The desert is beautiful right now. I'm headed to the Quartzite area on Thursday for a few days and I'm going to play with the stabilizer settings a bit because of your posts. Having the stabilizer set as high as 1 or 3 ( remember a 1 is a very high setting= more filtering. A 12 would be less stabilizer) seems counter intuitive for those tiny nugs to break the threshold... especially at depth. I have always gone with the conventional wisdom that the least stabilizer ( higher number) that you can get away with the better. Thanks for your posts on the 4500. I love mine. I have been very successful with it and the various sized Evo coils.

    Dean

yeah I use my stabilizer on 4, sometimes 3 ...... and the Gain on 10 to 12 according to what the ground can handle, but the steelPhase enhancer can possibly be also helping with stabilizing. The NF coils are more stable compared to Minelab and coiltek coils ( Minelab and Coiltek run hot) only my opinion from past expiriences.

I agree Fred.  You really going to commit murder over 5 dollars in gold?  Cmon.  Take their picture and license plate, mark the location, call the police, have them arrested.  You can get more out of someone convicting them of mineral trespass vs murdering them.  SMH

It's true not worth shooting..... But in case you decide to .....please don't miss because it will be another piece of lead to detect ......

Don't you miss the good old days when a person could have shot them, not to kill anyone but just to let them know to stay out.

We had a farmer who would load his shotgun with rock salt and pepper anyone in his watermelon patch. Yes I know this from experience and I learned my lesson at an early age. How times have change in 50 years!

You can still shoot him and plant a .38 special in his hand...... Just carry an extra piece in your ankle holster for that purpose .....

That's gold that was found on a lease in Corindhap. The first week they were in Vic and filmed in Creswick (only found a few tiny bits), Corindhap (on a lease) and then filmed some stuff in the Ballarat Gold Museum. They then went down some old mines with the Victorian Historical Mine Shaft Chasers group before heading up to Qld where they are filming now.

Tyler from Aussie Gold Hunters has joined Parker as well as a new guy named Fred who you will see around Episode 13 of this seasons Gold Rush.

and here we are in Arizona looking for bits......

excellent video!!!  I detect in the Andes mountain range, yesterday I returned from a 3-day trip, during the night -18c and during the day 4c, a lot of white wind, it is 3hs walking to the place every gram of weight counts hahaha.  A 4,500 used in Argentina costs 4,000 to 4,400 dollars and a basic salary is around 450 dollars, very far from the budget 😞

    Old video

Nice area and nice Oro brother ..... Keep that gold coming ...... I got my 4500 with some cash and gold......

Maybe the ground where I detect is not suitable for high frequencies.  I thought of a 4500 but where I detect it is very high 4500 to 5000mts and complicated topography with bushes and rocks that would not allow me.  handle a large and heavy detector.

i like those detectors, you have a good investment.  I am going to investigate the frequencies and the types of soil

Look at some of my videos...... I climb up and down several 4,000 feet mountains in a day ...... Way up ....

I really like the Orx, I wish I could use it at high frequencies 30 or 70khz but I don't know why it gets very unstable with wet soils, ID 99 95 as I go deeper the sound disappears.  so i think khz is a lot of marketing they say that a gold detector has to be high frequency when detectors like the Garrett at gold and the Orx at low frequencies can find very small nuggets without any problem ...

I use the ORX in 74Khz and in 30.4 Khz for shallow ground.. and yes it works, but at a maximum of 6-8 inches on small gold !

If you want to go deeper than 8-12 inches and detect a small nugget ie. a .20 to .50 deeper than 8" inches you have to go to something better like a 4500 ....... or for real small gold .07 to .10 then something real sensitive like a gold monster 1000 .....

    IMG_20200313_124719.jpg

Good gold finds brother, the only way to really avoid hot rocks is by lowering the sensitivity  lower and lower........ and if the ground is too hot move to a pulse induction......
