  1. Hey everyone! I just upgraded to a nox 800 at the start of the month, moving over from a simplex and pulsedive. I was having trouble getting used to the nox at first and was thinking of sending it back because I couldn't even detect in tot lots. Thanks to some posts on here, it's going a lot smoother.

My question is this, is there a way to pair the pulsedive with the equinox headphones?

  2. Lol, thanks. Actually, I've really wanted to detect the ski slopes, but it's about 180 miles farther than I think my old Jeep can make it. So I've had to stick to the playgrounds and surrounding areas, and basketball courts, tennis courts, and volleyball courts and sidewalks locally.

Hopefully I'll be able to use the money from the rings for a down payment on a Jeep, then I'll be looking harder at those ski slopes.

Going to bury the box some place and give her a complex treasure map and a detector to go find it? LOL

That would be fun, but no, just slowly doleing them out. We have smaller boxes to hold some stuff inside the chest, that we are giving her to start. We recently gave her the one with all the foreign coins

Diamonds don't refract light but cz's do so if you look through the facets and see any rainbows they are cz's. Diamonds will also have inclusions and fewer the inclusions the better the diamond. Just the bits I learned on the way.

Nice playgrounds hehe, ones around here have aluminum rings :0

Believe me, I've found some cz that about gave me a heart attack. Lol

    Yep, aluminum and tungsten here

  5. The rings are at the jewelers for appraisal now. As soon as my folks saw them cleaned up, they were making offers to buy them.

Here are some of my better finds from my first year. After my first good silver rings and jewelery, my parents and I worked out a deal where I sell them some items and we are building a treasure chest for my niece, so she'll have something from me when she's older.

    Wow,

Great luck and finds SK!! Those will get the blood pumping! Congratulations!! Were they even buried, or on the grass!? And what's the story on the rest??💍💍👍👍

Haha! Yes the two in the first picture were about 6to 8 inches deep. I suspect they got set on a blanket and the blanket later got picked up. They were about 3 feet from the edge of the sandbox area of the playground.

In the picture of the 5 rings, the one on the end is 10k it was the first good gold ring I found.

  7. Ok, here is another try. At first, all I hit was playgrounds, then they stopped producing, so started working basketball courts. Then I started working playground perimeters. These were in the same hole, about 6-8 inches deep. They are both 14k. The white gold is 1.55 carat total diamond weight. Found them at a park I've been to many times. Went back last weekend and some kids mentioned that after 4th of july, 5 detectorist were working the park.

I've only ever see one other person detecting in my town

  8. My name's Kyle, I'm 34 or so frm Colorado springs I started out detecting last September after seeing some YouTube videos. Saved up and bought a harbor freight machine. Fet I hit the jackpot with my first hobby that actually made me money, with all the coins I was finding. Still wasn't finding anything great like I was hoping for, so saved up, and bought a simplex after last Christmas.

Turns out the cool finds were to follow buying the simplex.  I'll have to post some of my best finds. A little late, but better late than never.

  9. I have loved my simplex, and been using it almost every day since I got it. Also finaly finding gold ( now that I know what I'm watching for. I'll post pictures eventually).

Anyway I was thinking to myself, how could they make a second generation simplex better? I know it's a ways off, but I bet nokta has already been thinking about this. So I wanted to start a thread about features you'd like to see on the next one?

I'll start. When night hunting, the light on the back seems to be either not quite bright enough, or it's at the wrong angle, and can't use it well to dig. No problem, I've got a headlight.

What if on the next one, they had a sensor that felt the detector be laid down, and switched on a brighter higher angle set of lights to illuminate your digging when in night mode?

Also multi frequency would be killer, even if it had to be a super simple featureless dumbed down machine, at least around here.

  10. Got my machine updated first day the update came out. First hour with it, I was disappointed because it felt like I was learning the sounds of it again for the first time. Also a slight bit more interference with the pin pointer. The biggest issue is a low pitch humming noise when the backlight comes on. It quickly stops when the backlight turns off though.

After using it for a few hours though, I love the update. And I think in getting used to the new tones and the backlight sound
