Looks like nobody wants the 17x14" X Coil you're selling either?

I'd still give it a week or so yet before declaring nobody wants them but I'd be surprised if one or both don't sell soon?

Some photos to show condition etc. would probably help?

Yeah I have photos of the z search on gumtree. The x coil I’m not fussed if I sell it. I mostly use the 10 inch now. JP it’s not faulty the area has bad emi the minelab struggles to.

Mc30  - I have only been out one trip with the Z Search coil.  From what I can see here in Arizona, the NF Z Search is more sensitive to tiny nuggets or dinks.  I could still hear many of them with the Minelab 14x13, but they were much more obvious with the NF coil.

I had no issues with EMI whatever, my coil was really stable and smooth.

I know mine is working well, picked up over 16 Grams the first trip.

If you're looking for a lighter coil, a bit more sensitive to small targets, easier to pinpoint with and can get into tighter spots, then the NF coil will work great for you.

My experience was different than yours, my x coil outperformed it and that’s why I’m selling it. Seems no one wants them in Australia I haven’t got any enquires about it.

So why then are others like the OP (Rob) & JP not allowed their opinion on a Z Search thread without being constantly shouted down by a contrarian handful of people who are loyal to another brand.

You had posted that 3 ounce photo from using the other coil/s well before Z Search coils were released so how is it relevant? Do you believe the Z Search would have missed all of those bits? I'd also expect that the 10" might sniff out more fly specs than a 12" so it's not really comparing apples with apples.

Your opinion is relevant though (without the tit for tat) as you have used both types of coil & an opinion that others can weigh up with their own decision if choosing between manufacturers. It still probably won't change anyone's mind that is deadset against doing any modifications. That's just the way it is.

Hang on I was just giving my experience with the z search coil and j.p had a subtle dig at my detecting ability. As I stated before the emi was bad on the z search and it couldn’t pick up any extra gold on patches I have been to before and the x coils have. I’m just trying to explain to people to not get there hopes up with the z search because in my experience it’s identical the stock 14 obviously better because it’s lighter.

Interesting 🤔, your experiences are completely at odds with my own and many others.😉 Thanks for your feedback MC30, it’s the first negative I’ve seen so far but not surprising, there is never a perfect detector/coil combination in all ground types, I’ve seen many disgruntled GPZ users sell up and revert back to GPX 5000’s yet we all know what a GPZ in the right hands can really do.😇😅

If the z search coil is so good why would I sell it??? The truth is x coils have worked wonders for me, thought I would give the z search a go and in my opinion it falls short, note also all the gold found in that picture was ground that had been worked with both the minelab 14 and 19 inch coils

  5. Sorry to inform you rob but in my opinion the z search is not a winner, I have just put mine up for sale, it doesn’t even compare with x coil performance, I took the z search out to a patch which I had previously worked with the minelab coil and couldn’t pick up anything not to mention the emi was really bad on it, the next day I went back with my 10 inch x coil and picked up nearly a gram of flyshit gold on the exact ground.

  6. Yeah there good scales I bought them online from a store in Australia, I’ll see if I can find the site, I only post these finds so people get an accurate review of the x-coils, Since getting it I have had nothing but good results and I’m a amateur prospector, looking forward to see how the new nuggetfinder coils perform in comparison.

  7. I can’t stand reading your biased posts anymore jp, your the only one reporting these so called problems with x coils, I have the 17x12 elliptical on my gpz and its so much better than the minelab coils, all my gold has been found in hot ground that I have been over with the mine lab coils!! I have found this in my first 4 trips out with it
