  2. i found a really good way to find gold its called a D11R bulldozer
  3. ok thanks for that,i cant belive all the troubles people have had in the phils,i have never come across it ,i guess i just mind my own buisness,as i dont go to bars and drink im more interested the province areas.and i always have pocket full of small peso bills or coins to hand out ,as lots of beggers are like magnet to a foriegnner ,i watched a few videos on you tube about some do;s and donts with a detector, like steel cap boots and personal jewelry ,some of the places i checked out had the hell blasted out of them by dynomite to take the whole side of the rocks out and so many big rocks along the beach had the marking of man made tools to get the gold or mineral out of them, the terrain is thick and well worth a go i reckon as my guide is the husband of my wifes sister and their family has been there for 4 generations ,when i went there i was treated like a god, cant wait to get back maybe this year again as i only just got back.
  4. guys what would be a good beginers metal detector ,ive looked at equinox and minelab 1000,the terrain in the phils is not exactly friendly, and should i buy one there or in australia ? ive seen some do fold up to put in a suitcase, but carry on a plane im not sure with a battery ,airlines dont like that in the luggage, been doing a bit of searching about fosickers licence ,but they call it a small mining licence with no heavy machinery.and the office is in manilla.
  5. i think what people see on tv is not really whats happening in some of these places,i feel totaly safe and people bend over backwards to help you.
  6. NO im lucky im married to a nice philipino girl from the region ,and we live in australia and i have wonderd by myself at all the hot spots you are talking about and never had any problems with the locals ,the place your talking about is way in the south thats the no go zone but the rest of mindanao is fine i have been there 4 times and cant wait to get back,i have watched all those gold shows on tv and i reckon some of the places i have seen put them to shame, was escorted by the locals to remote areas ,seams of quartz thru the hills,im no gold expert but have an interest, next time im there i will buy a detector and start to work out how to use it,i have also learnt a bit of there local language,i actually have some pics and videos of my last trip i might post a few of the caves where yamashita markers have been found ,yeah you had to risk your life to get in there.
  7. Hi,im new on here and very keen to find gold,i just got got back from my 4th trip to the philippines and this time had more time to look at some really nice places to fossick, waterfalls, high hills with plenty of fresh water run off, from what i saw its got heaps of potential,im going back again in a few months to have a serious look around, now that the new goverment has opened up in 2023 they encourage more from overseas to come.I was looking around mindanao island ,at the bottom of the philipinnes.
