I have a friend who was bow hunting and ran into a couple guys tending who had ARs...they drew down on him and took his identification. They said if he told the law they would come to his house and hurt people. He and his brother contemplated going in with night vision, but ultimately they called the sheriff and led them back in. They apprehended 1 of them as I recall. He was very upset about it but still goes out...but not alone anymore

They have earphones designed for snake country which have only one ear muff and the other ear open. Detector Pro makes it. I think it is called the Rattler.

Great feeling the moment you realize what you dug isn't it! Congrats!

Here in Redding CA my family can make a family donation to Reach air rescue ambulance. It was real reasonable 100-150 for the year....any helicopter rescue in the state is $10.00 if you've donated and carry their card. Matt

Hey Strick, I had the most memorable deer season ever hunting below long gulch lake with ono goldhunter! We did not bag one either but it was soo interactive bouncing them around in the stair stepping terraces below the lake. Saw and heard a bunch of deer and 4 bear. What a beautiful place that is. The lake practically boiled just before dark!! Was there a glacier on the far side against the rock backdrop or is it melted? Matt

True, it could be.

Curious how much of the season Jonathan used it... Not to take away from the machine because I realise he can only report on the depth of what he found but I would think they would save their advertising space (touting the capability) to they had something more impressive than 12 grams at 17". I have dug 22 cal. lead at 18" with my 3000. I am interested in seeing what else people say/find with it.

Very cool! Are they all from the same area? Color difference is big...

There are clubs in Redding. Talk to Chip at the miners cache. Also new fortyniners up in happy camp.
-
Fluggets... Are they big enough to make you smile? Almost sounds derogatory...

Hey Rumble...I know where your coming from. I visit a few sites sometimes a couple time a day. I know how you can grow to feel like you know some of these guys. A few I have met and a few I have had the privilage of hunting with! Lots of good people willing to help and I do value the comradeship. Good luck all!

Thx Steve and Rumble.

Looking for 9V for gold bug pro...do you get a performance difference out of higher milliamp per hour battery or does it just go dead faster? I have seen between 300 and 600. Thanks Matt

Never tried a brush. Saw big difference in fines retention when I switched to moss over v matting though. And it is easy to clean.

Check icmj last couple years for article on that subject by Trinityau/RayMills. Matt

Hey Steve... Is that an old vinyl record under your gold? An album that went golden?

Nice going Strick! Getting those bits is the best confidence builder...you must be doing some stuff right to get those! Its like getting birdshot only way better

Solid rear axle if you want stability. Independent rear suspension if you want comfort/performance at speed or for long rides. Can't go wrong with Honda.

Daaannnggg! Is this the show off channel??? Seriously, very nice work guys! Matt

Hello Steve. It was a pleasure to hear you speak of CA gold resources and some tails from your past experiences. Beautiful country and an amazingly scenic drive up to Happy Camp! I am thinking of joining for the great family camping experience available on their riverfront claims. It was interesting to hear you talk of digging all targets...I have been focused on only the faint and non ferrous signals...makes me wonder what I have been missing? Probably more trash but maybe "the big one". Thanks for your time and good luck in Chicken this summer. Matt
