Thanks for this info Steve!
I hadn't tried the forum in a few days and when I just did...Poof, all gone!
Hoping if/when somebody picks up the company a forum will be created.

As a moderator on another detecting forum I understand how much work goes into keeping a forum running smoothly! And, you do it by yourself!! 🎖️

Just now seeing this thread Steve. Thanks for sharing the info!

I could be wrong but I think it unlikely White’s will simply disappear like Tesoro. Tesoro had noting, just rotary phones. Whites has brand new machines like the 24K that can compete with the best of them. Somebody will want to buy them, it just boils down to price and if Ken will sell. Sadly, there is little possibility that the Sweet Home facility would survive. The key to the current problem is low cost manufacturing in up-to-date facilities, and ditching the current distribution network, possibly in favor of direct sales.
Yes Steve, it is going to be very important to see "who" buys them up!

When I got my first e-mail provider I think in the early 1980's I had just reconnected with some old Navy Seabee friends.
I used seabeeron@*****.***
When I got into detecting and then forums, SeaBeeRon was a natural fit!
Guess what my first name is?!?! 😎

You mean, that this
are two sides of the same coin ?this currency does not exist ...
I think there are two coins in the medallion
it would have to be dismantled to see / it would be interesting
on the Dos Pesos, the date of 1945 does not mean anything
I found one a few years ago
do some research,
between 1951 and 1972 a large number of coins
was re-struck in the 1945 vintage ...Nice find, all the same :))
That's the one!
I too think it is either 2 coins or some short of fantasy piece of jewelry.

The issue I have with it being real is another picture I have seen of it the obverse of this pendant coin show Queen Elizebeth on an Isle of Man coin? Either way, interesting find!
-
This is a better picture than on the other forum I saw it on! Good job!!
Is it two coins? The Isle of Man coin and a DOS Peso??
-
Is this the pendant with the Queen on one side and a gold Peso on the other?
-
Hey Tom, I would have thought you had already found this Forum?!? Welcome!

The patent in question is US7310586, which covers wired and wireless data transfer (no, I'm not speculating, yes, I have the docket). It's the same patent they sued White's over when I was working there. I found prior art that would invalidate the patent but White's decided to settle instead.
Thanks!!

If Tboykin could maybe talk to management to give us a bit of a discount and free shipping for having to wait so long to get the kinks worked out, I'll order one tomorrow!
Spoken like a true Seabee!

Been wondering about this since the Olympics started this year, thanks for the info!
I also wonder where those 1912 and prior gold medals are today?!? Did they stay in the family, gone to museums or just melted!?? Seems sad to me if melted!
