  1. When I started it was $240/OZ, but that is another story.  The way I look at it is a Dollar is not always a Dollar. BUT an ounce of gold is ALWAYS an ounce of gold.  So, yes I would.

That being said, I don't get out looking for gold that much anymore but I certainly still deal with gold on a daily basis. Personally I like the price/stability around where it is these days......

  2. The miners in Brazil care not one thing about collecting gold or specimen value.  Most gold found there by artisan miners rapidly ends up in a gold dealers hands. The first thing the dealer does is what you see in the video, dolly the quartz or iron stone out so the weight of the gold can be determined.  I have witnessed this on my prospecting trips down there.  It is also illegal to take raw gold out of the country as all found gold is supposed to end up in the government coffers. Its their brand of socialism where the government owns just about everything

  3. Clark,  Thank you very much, this piece is now sitting on my workbench. I polished up one face and I must say, it is as spectacular as I hoped it would be.  Next trip to town and I will take this to a partner who has an XRF testing machine and find out what is the makeup of the golden color material.  Most likely it s a pyrite, but it does not look like any I have seen......

  4. El D You know your patch has produced hundreds, maybe thousands of little nuggets. 7 of the 8 came from the area around my detector...not more than 40x40 feet...they were a shocking surprise...your gift just keeps on giving with a lot of help from the GPZ!!!

I'm so glad that so many have been able to get nuggets there and still can!  ..........it's still the only virgin patch I have found
