haha Fred, we all have our definitions I guess. For me, someone following me in order to take advantage of the research and footwork I have done, is a rip-off. I get it about not going public, but even you might agree that those Goldhound videos were some of the best ever done of what is our hobby and their living.

    Hope you are doing well...

Thats a for sure thing .. with theories that played out in the field with the gold finds.

  2. Ill try where the river have gave good gold and try up in the hills.. if known gold have been present then the hills might have gold also i guess..

Most montain terrain have shallow bedrock or a false bedrock or clay pipe .. well in most gold bearing areas around here..

One good thing to beat the skunk if you dont find nothing in the hills .. expose bedrock in the rivers might be overlooked by the oldtimers .

  3. We here dont have that problem... But is always good to be showed around with a local which you give them a percentage of the finds.  .

Thats how things work around here.  .

But other then that you dont find yourself getting into any problem like that here. Well from my experience specially metal detecting.

Here where i live i have lots of open ground that never have been metal detected & most of these hills are gold bearing...just have to look for shallow gold deposits. Most creeks been rich in gold as also the rivers.  .

Last photo is of us dredging with our Trev's Style Dredge. ..

    Where do you live?

Im from the Dominican Republic.  .

  5. Im in  the Dominican Republic and here there is a lot of mining activity going on without permisson and some with permission but its all possible unless you are trying open up a huge open pit mine that always bring the communities aproval apart from the goverment.

  6. I would never believe in that kind of top soil there would be gold right at the surface basically ...

There must be lots of gold for hibanking where you find gold with a metal detector specially around a creek..

From what i can see in the picture the bank gets deeper and there might be gold that is not reachable by detecting without removing top soil.

  7. Lots of people dont really understand what im trying to do here.  .

I have seen them use bulldozers and large equipment .

But i want to use something i could move far more easier to these remote location like water pumps or motorized winch with a bucket...

I just wonder if you could see it working for me.  .

These places have been work by mens with pick and shovel and there is still gold there just too difficult for them as it got deeper.  .

This is one of the more hilarious statements I have ever seen on any gold forum. Just had to say that.

I know where the BIG nuggets have been found and metal detectors seem to get more depth as the bigger the object .

I know of people who have found here numerous times gold nuggets weighting in 60 to 80 grams and larger.  .

And i dont know if where you live things are the same way but here where you find large gold you dont find fine gold.

So this is my reason in saying that what i said.  .

So when you know these large nuggets are lurking around i just want to use a large hook to catch them.. Thats all. !!

  9. Okay.. Thanks Steve .. so lets say i get a GPX with one of the largest coils

Lets say the 40" coiltek or the 32" detech or a 25" NF DD coil.

Could i build something to scrap away overburden like a scraper bucket with a winch or a hydraulic nozzle .. The overburden is just clay over the pay layer most of the times.

I have trouble here finding shallow deposits and i like the use of a metal detectorss and there is good gold in the hills. .

  10. There is something that is going on apart from them cheap metal detectors is always posted here..

Here where i live there have been various helicopeters flying around these large square coils. So there is something going on they probably dont want us to know And i see veryy little information on this.

  11. I have seen helicopters with large coils around here looking for gold.  .

These same large coil these 3D Metal detectors use ..

IDK if those could be a magnetometor which they could see the depth of bedrock and mineralization of layers.

Over here theres very little shallow deposits. .

Most shallow deposits here are associated with Hot Rocks and Lots of them ..

But finding these mountain areas isnt easyy.  . unless maybe a drone with a magnetometer can locate these shallow high mineralized areas.  .

  12. Hello everyone ..

I wonder if there anyone who uses a 3D metal detector to locate gold deposits @ around 15 to 20 feet deep...

I have heard of larger nuggets of 1 and 2 pounds in size and gold deposits with 300 grams in a bucket of dirt being found in the river banks.

Could a GPX with the New 30" coil   could reach a 1 or. 2 pound nugget  @ 4 feet deep...

Im not interested in the finer gold just the bigger nuggets or a large concentrate of gold ..
