I came across a link for this XP D2 PDF by John Oliver, on another forum. I printed it out. Looks like a real time saver as I learn the D2. Does anyone know where I can find John's email address, I'd like to send him something for all his hard work!. TIA

half of them could go to an Sothebys Collectors auctions!

Certainly you have some in the attic and basement as well! Awesome collection there/.

Nice coin, now a question. Out of the hundreds of detectors you have owned thru the years, how high up on your list is the D2?
-
Not to hijack the thread, but what do you guys think of this unit?

I dont have a D2 yet, but slowly assembling accessory ideas.

I cashed my lead sinkers in a few years ago and got 50c a lb. Not sure the price now. Might be able to sell on craigs list for more , as some fishermen melt their own .

Great Investment! A sign at my local bank says the contents of the security boxes are not insured. Keep it in the back of your mind if the banking system ever starts to falter.

Thanks for the response guys. Rattle... , I love your vids!

I'll be buying a D2 soon, and I'm trying to decide on either the full ear covering set, or the Little ear pad style. I'm wondering if the small earpad unit blocks out enough noise? Though they look to be cooler in summer. Your thoughts appreciated. Thanks!.

Nice long warm season. Up here in the midwest, a wetsuit is needed 10 months out of the year😝
-
Awesome job! Would love to hear a brief summary how you did it! TIA

Brad, If you are looking for a inexpensive suit, check out xterra wetsuits. They are used by the triathelon swimmers. Reasonably priced and very warm. Excellent quality. You get just a tiny bit of water in the suit thru the leg and arm seals, but no water flow thru the rubber surface its self. Around $200 -250. They come a bit snug so order a larger size. Good Luck.

I just ordered the 5 x 8 and 12 x 15 coils from an online dealer in Y_______, Michigan. They say if you order in the next 12 hours, they should ship to you in the 2nd week of January. They also show a 9" coil coming, but no pre-orders for that one yet. I have my name on numerous dealer lists, but never heard from them so I became proactive. Good Luck!

Maybe I'll have to buy a few Manticores now and resell them in spring for a bit of profit>?
-
One of the online dealers feels strongly he will have the new coils in January. ( USA East Coast). I'm thinking they will all get some at the same time.

In my test garden on my clad dime, depths between the 2 machines are the same. Using mostly factory settings, on the manticore. ATG mode.

I have a Blu3 Nomad. Excellent unit. Delivers plenty of air. Battery lasts me about 90 min. Just buy a few extra batteries for more bottom time. Sure beats tanks!

supple chain issues still abound in various areas of the world economy.

Its nice to see they are getting a few coils out there.
-
If Minelab came out with a wide selection of coils, they would definitely sell more Manticores. They might even freak out Deus!
-
I like his vids. I use his silver program on my machine and like it.
-
I just took the nomad out for a short dive today, and love it, It pumps alot of air for my big lungs. The nemo just did not give me enough air.

Patience is a virtue. In the olden days, we never knew ahead of time what was coming. When it came , we either bought it or we didn't. No big deal. Enjoy every day . Don't stress over the small stuff.

Since Tom D. announced that they are released, maybe someone could ask him to announce US pricing and where exactly in the world they have been released to.
I'm in for the M8 whenever I can actually lay hands on one. But as already mentioned, I ain't holding my breath.

Tom is on the testing side, not marketing.
Who's Sold Their Manticore?

Ol calabash was using a manti with an M-8 coil, and was amazed with the results he had at one of his iron infested sites.
Did he buy another, or using a borrowed unit? I don't ever take what he says as gospel, but he's entertaining.
