    For JohnnyRox and Chase Goldman,

    15 x 12 coil
    Field 2
    Sensitivity = 25
Manually crank up the ground balance to 99
    All Metal
    Recovery delay = 1
    Iron Bias = 0
Multi Frequency Seems just as deep and is probably superior to 4khz

Anyways, WHen you get the quarter all the way back to the 22 inch mark Start out passing it extremely slow. If it wont double beep, Slowly increase the speed you are passing your target until it does double beep. Ive noticed that even with Recovery Delay set at 1, Sometimes a FASTER sweep speed is required to make the target double beep. Thats just the way it is. THink about that when you pass a target up because you cant get a double beep.

Thank you for the reply Larry.

Hey Chase where'd you go pal, thought you were interested in how Larry got the depth he claimed?

Gig is learning..and the best way is to get out, do the time and dig all. Let me add, the "AQ" is best used in combination with a good VLF. My time out hunting is about 50% AQ and the other 50% Excalibur. In time you learn which is best for the beach you plan on hunting.

Carolina hunts the same beach's as the Gig....Carolina has several gold with the "AQ" but he is a very experienced PI hunter also..and it shows.

I talked to Gig last week and his main use for the AQ was finding cannon balls, I do think that it shine for sure in that area..if he can dig that deep.

    Good Luck to the Gig!

Is Carolina more of a water hunter?  Bay or ocean hunter?

We don’t know when the final version will go on sale, but it will cost significantly more than the AQ Limited. The price on the Ltd. was likely “break even” or close to it in order to induce early buyers to participate in the sort of “pre-launch”. It is unique as far as I know in detectorland to do this kind of “public beta” like move.

    I see.  Thanks.

Here are my 3 Cartiers from the past year.  The white gold ones are counterfeit.  The serial number on both is 52833A.  The gold one has a different serial number and tested 18K.  Both white gold ones failed the gold test with my electronic gold tester after the larger one passed the 18K acid test.

Good luck on the test but if the serial number is 528833A it is fake. (test it anyway)

Congrats on getting back up and running.  I broke the ears off my 15 inch after a year on the beach but sent it back under warranty and got a new one.  I also bought one of those 3D ear strengthens off ebay and it seems to be what the doctor ordered. LOL

    Thanks fellas!

I found one of those 528833A ones last year.  Acid test said gold but I have my suspicions. lol

Which gold tester do you have?

  5. Have any of you fellas been able to use a wireless low latency transmitter with the Sovereign?  Something like the Quest Wire Free Mate, Garrett Z-link or Trond?

I tried a cheap Chinese one off Amazon but I don't think it could handle the power coming from the headphone jack and it was clipping the the sound really bad.

    Thanks!

Ok, so here is why I like the Detech 13" Ultimate over the stock coil on the 19kHz First Texas machines, as you know my coin targets that are worth digging are deep.  I need depth badly.  The problem with the stock coil is the deeper the target is, the worse it's ID's get.  They appear to get lower ID's the deeper they get until eventually they fall into Iron.  These test targets are both the same coin, one buried at about 6" and the other about 10".  They've been there almost 2 years now so knowing our soil here over winter that depth would gradually increase.   I am sure it has over time as my T2 used to pickup the deeper target when it was first buried with better attempts at an ID than it can get now.  Now on the deeper target it's a real mess with the GBP and 13" Ultimate performing better.   I put disc on as there are nails scattered around in the lawn from when the roofers changed my roof.  I've cleared the nails nearby the coins so no iron is messing with the ID's.  I put rocks down so I knew where the coins were 🙂

The Target ID of this coin in an air test is 79/80 on the Bug.

First target is the shallower one.  You'll see I can run the gain on the Ultimate much lower.

Now, just to show why I like the Vanquish so much, a video of it on the same two targets.

The sun was making it hard to get the video so I positioned myself to block it off the screen.  With the Vanquish the actual air test ID of this coin is a 21.

The GBP is quite competitive with the Vanquish in my soils on coins, as long as it has that Ultimate coil on it, with the stock coil I may as well forget about using it as our small silvers that ID in the 60's on it are easily pushed down in ID's and false as iron.  The 13" Ultimate will start to get worse numbers once over 10" where as the Vanquish keeps holding on to correct numbers.

Obviously this is my soil conditions and everyone's are different, it does however explain my love for the 13" Ultimate coil on the Bug, and for the Vanquish and Nox which performs similar to the Vanquish.

Here is info on the buried coin in the videos

So I think you'll like your F19, especially with that Ultimate coil, I've used my GBP + 13" Ultimate on the beach with similar good performance results.

Good job bro!  Have you tried it in all metal?

Has anyone received one of these units yet? I would really like to purchase one but want to make sure it's the real deal and not a counterfeit.

It's the real deal.  It's sold by Teknetics through Amazon.  Someone posted in this thread that he called Teknetics to see if he could cut out the middleman but the detectors are already in Amazon's possession and the price is what it is.

  8. I've been using my Nox 800 with a 15" coil for a few months now, ears broke on original coil, and I find it too nose heavy.  Yesterday I received the 11" Nox coil and parts I bought from Dan(NM) last Thursday.  The parts are like NEW, just like he said.  Dan is an honest man and great seller!!!

So this morning I went out for some beach hunting.  Been on a bit of a dry spell lately.

First thing I noticed, it felt so much easier swinging the Nox.  No luck in the wet so I hit the dry.  $5.50 in clad and these 2 little beauties.

Thanks again Dan, not only for the great parts but for the great Karma that came with them!  Hoping this thread will bring you good Karma in return!

Can't go wrong with the Snake/Shrew and the Detech 13" Ultimate.   Combine them with the stock coil and you've got most situations covered.  The 13" feels light as a feather too.   I think you'll enjoy the detector, I'd use my GBP a lot more if it had volume control seeing I don't use headphones the volume is just too loud on it.  You're set with yours as it has volume control.  I use the neoprene cover as a way of muffling the audio on mine.  I will do the stock vs Detech 13" video today, the weather is nice and I'm just hovering around home.  My daughter broke her arm falling off some monkey bars so skiing is off for 3 weeks, she tried to hide it as she didn't want to miss out on skiing but the pain got too much and gave it away.

Sorry to hear about your daughter.  Hope she heals up soon!
