I'm surprised how well it did in the wet sand. None of the targets appeared very deep but the Ranger ran quiet at full sensitivity.

Anyone ever use a Z-link with a Minelab Sovereign?

just bought a 540 pro-pack for just over 4 bills (new), incredible value compared to an eq600,or 800!
i got both coils, wireless, rechargeable batts, coil covers, and bonnet.what's not to like?
also, the guy "instrumental" in bringing the vanquish forward claims its almost a "'dead nuts"
match (performance wise) to the eq600,or the 800.time will tell, but could be an "outrageous"
sleeper compared to either ,or both eq's.he calls it the "equinox 540" no bullshit!
(h.h.!)j.t.
Where can I get one at that price?
Thanks.

They also make one with a stainless tip.

New scoop from RTG. Anyone using one yet?

I have a Sovereign XS2-a Pro and was looking at aftermarket coils.
Any of you fellas use one? Does it go deeper than stock 10 inch coil? How's the stability?
Any other coils you guys use/recommend?

Show them this as well. The guy's a fresh water hunter.

From what I'm getting, he's not notching 6-7 out like you would on a regular detector. Watch this.

I tried the test with my Nox and all it saw was the foil as you've pointed out Keith.
I then tried it with my Sovereign, which has a meter on it, and the foil rang up 350, the quarter 550 and foil over quarter 510.
Thought that was interesting.

Great finds as usual OBN!

Another awesome hunt Joe!
One thing I always wonder, any issues with bull sharks in your waters?

Met an older gent out beach detecting back in January. He was just digging around in the dry sand using a small homemade scoop. I went over to chat and see what detector he was using. It was some home modified beat frequency detector. Had no idea what beat freq was til I got home and googled it. lol
He told me he had been detecting for over 50 years. Him and his buddies used to do things like raking the beach and digging deep holes when the beach was sanded in to get to the gold jewelry.
I asked him where he sold his gold and he said he took it to a Jewish fella in the Manhattan jewelry district. I asked how much he paid for the gold and he replied 2 points under spot price. I was surprised he was getting such a good deal and told him the best I saw was a refinery online that paid 5 points under spot. He replied...well, I get that price because I sell to him by the pound.
They don't call it the good ol' days for nothing. lol

Looks like the Apex is as good as my Nox at finding lots and lots of junk. lol

Interesting. Why didn't he use a dime instead of that token?

Thank You!
From what I have heard from Alex Tartar all would be the same. Let me quote him on this..."The most important thing is the diameter of the ring, not the weight" ..Identical rings in AM ..........I would say it hits all very close to the same,... if not the same.
In the reject modes I would say there would be differences but almost impossible to test since finding identical rings of the same would be hard to find unless you had a mold and made them...I'll be testing a 14k 6gram and 22k 5 gram gold rings this week..depth test......then in the disc modes to see if we loose much on these. keep a watch for those video's.....
Thanks and keep up the good work! We appreciate it!

Sorry to hear about the cable issue, glad it got fixed. Looking forward to your evaluation.

Great videos as usual OBN.
Say you have 4 identical rings but made in 10K, 14K, 18K and 22K.
Which one will a detector pick up the furthest?
