Simplex Optional Coils Now In Production

Hi All, Newbie here, I've had my Simplex+ for a few days now and loving it so far. Can someone explain (in simple terms :)) why I would purchase the optional coils ? Located in Ontario Canada, searching for coins, jeweler and hidden treasures Jeff
