When I used the CTX I would get tried of constantly pushing down on it. Didn't like it being a floater. Nothing on the Excal since it sinks. I would think any weight added to the coil would interfere with coil control.  Maintaining proper sweep speed to squeak out those deep targets would be tough.

Yes, I've seen a few sharks going up and down the beach at sunset, and that was when I hunted the Ocean. In the bay I would say 75% (or more) of the time I hunt with my eyes shut, I can focus on the audio better. Only once I start digging I have my eyes open.....I see fish jumping or bait fish around I will go on alert.

A bull shark ruined my last hunt. I didn't even get started I was ankle deep in the bay when I saw a 6 footer near the shoreline in front of me. Thought I had my camera running, but it was off. By the time I turned it on he was to far to get on video. That was 11:00am.

Wow, what a work out. Nice bunch of targets there. Here's hoping you get Gold on your next time out.

Mike that Otto Switch lasted two hunt...Gave out today about halfway thru the hunt....23 dollars I figured it would last..IP68 too........... I really liked the fact I could cut the audio totally. I may put a toggle on there since I have a few around. If not I'll go to the yellow push button. On the camera, good luck. I've had nothing but crazy luck with mine of late. Got four gold Saturday, only got one on video..I looked at the Go Pro right as I was leaving the beach. Said USB unpluged...but was still running I though..nope got about 90 minutes of video..I did get the first gold found. I treasure my video as much as finding the  gold. 

Joe I stocked up on that yellow push button. Thanks for the part#.  You think for that price the switch would of lasted. Do you think there was a defect?

I like the "I feel some crunchies".   Great to hear the better than 8 hr run time with the battery pack. After watching your video I should have no problem transitioning over to the AQ.

Nice finds Joe. I lost my camera for a while, found it when I was looking for something else that I didn't find. Good to hear the audio cut switch worked out. Save those ears for the faints.
