  1. So I was shallow water hunting today(saltwater) in Tom Danowski settings.
I would get a real faint target with sensitivity at 16.
I would raise the sensitivity to 22 to see if I could here the target better and I was getting iron numbers and tones.
I still dug the target and it was a coin. This happened 2-3 times
so I didn’t do any ground balancing or noise canceling and was wondering if that what caused it.
I wish I could post this question on his forum but for some reason I can’t register.
also can others tell me how they st up there machine to wade in the water

I bet sales would be better if they managed an improved update, I assume now, there is not one coming. ☹️

I agree I my opinion that what hurts Minelab one and done one the updates. Look how many they did for dues, also there warranty

  3. Been taking my machine in the saltwater lately.
For last couple of days I noticed it been slightly wet by the handle.
so when  I took off the handle water was trapped inside.
Was wondering if anyone blocked that spot with something or do they loosen the handle after every hunt.
I don’t feel comfortable leaving saltwater in there close to where the battery is located

  4. I am trying to hunt for those deep targets in the prospecting in audio themes. But I am hunting in the water. Not having much luck. For me it harder then hunting with the excal in a/m.
So those deep targets that said your getting is the same for me. It’s iron.
I wish I could help more but I don’t know enough about the machine

  5. So guys what I am trying to say is I am hunting in shallow salt  water with Tom’s settings.
I feel it’s like using the excal in all metal. At least that what I am telling myself.
and I think it can have some real potential.
I really like the 8 in coil especially in the water.
Was wondering if anyone else is doing this and is there any tips or detecting modes there using. I am having a hard time understanding the target sounds. Trying go just use sounds not numbers. the beginning and end when sweeping over the target. I must be gettalot of small metal coming in 7-10 range and it’s junk. Think it’s small lead shot or split shot. Would like to have the gold sound better or sound different
is there anything I can try adjusting or programming.
    appreciate any advice you give

  7. I have one sitting in the garage myself. Even though I still use my Excalibur a lot in the water and has the same technology. I don’t use the sovereign. I would still not hesitate to use one especially if you chest mount it. So it’s that much lighter and easier to swing.
I think it would have a hard time picking up chains compared to the newer machines.

  8. So I was beach hunting with a friend the other day on the beach. He was using the Minelab EQUINOX 900. I was using MANTICORE.
He asked me if I could here this target he was hearing and what I thought it was.
I swung over the target it was a short and fast response coming up in the RED id numbers 24  and I told him it was junk (iron).
On his machine he said it was a 24 in a factory beach setting ( don’t know what they were) and Disc mode.
What it was a nickel possibly next to iron. I say that because when he put his in all metal he got iron tone.
So my settings I am using is Tom Danowski settings so you have some idea.

So how do you know if a good target is next to iron with the MANITCORE without seeing where the dot falls on. I am was relying on the red numbers.
I am not good with the sounds of targets especially in this mode I am in. I really just look at numbers first
