You are vastly overestimating the power of a single thread

You got that right on the money! I just checked their stock prices, and they both doubled since my original post. That sure didn't go as planned.🤔 And then, Rusty responded to my email today with a detailed response,  which clearly showed he took the time to read and understand my complaint thoroughly,  and answered with complete sincerity.  Makes me want to buy him a beer and add him to my Xmas list. That guy's good. I'm guessing he's ex CIA, to pull that 180 off. THEN,to top it all off, I received a tracking # from nokta today. Looks like my master plan to bankrupt these 2 major players has been spoiled for sure. 🤣 I'll really need a better plan before I try that again!

It's good to bring attention to problems.  I sing from the hilltops when I have one 😉

I do agree. But when you figure out your the only one singing, you need to take a breath, and make sure you don't cause unnecessary damage over a possible misunderstanding.  Everybody has bad days and weeks. I think I've seen enough to know my issues are rare with these companies,  and this is the wrong way to deal with it.

  3. It almost seems like I'm the only one with issues with these companies.  And that's not a bad thing. I'm actually glad to hear most people have good experiences with them. If @steve herschbach would like to remove this post, I am fine with that. My issues will work themselves out, and honestly I don't want to hurt any company that does a good job for the majority of their customers.  My issues may be big misunderstandings, along with lack of communication. And I feel wrong for starting this thread.

If Lead Detector’s Nokta detector issue is with a Gold Kruzer then it may take a while. If it had been a Legend or Simplex, the problem would have been resolved in days not weeks.

It is in fact a gold kruzer, which Im thinking is a rare thing in the US.

your gripes seem to be with their service agent and their service

Yes, just as my first words in my post stated. I think nokta needs more help in the US service dept. I don't hold nokta responsible for this. But I prefer not to deal with customer service that doesn't have time to learn the issue.  I don't expect everyone will agree with me, and I have no issues with that.

  6. As far as my nokta experience...well I just think they need more help in the US customer service department.  I started my inquiry the beginning of Dec 2023. I explained my issues best I could through email. One day a new coil showed up in the mail. Nobody had even contacted me. Ok, so I try the new coil...it actually made the problem much worse. And at times would not even detect that the coil was connected.  I emailed again, thanked them for the coil, and told them it did not work. I asked them for a phone number for their US based customer service, so I could possibly figure out what's wrong. I received an email back that said they don't have time for phone calls, and email was my only option. I replied with the most detailed description of the issue as I could. Then I was instructed to send the detector and all parts to them. They stated if I wanted a shipping label to weigh and measure the package and send them the info. I did that the same day. Several days later I inquired if they got the information I sent. They then emailed the label. I shipped it the next day. Its the beginning of January when I shipped it. 3 or 4 weeks go buy silent, then I get a phone call to ask me to describe the issues. I described best I could, and resent my original email with the detailed description.  It's mid Feb now. I  sent an email yesterday stating we started this in the beginning of December, and I hope it can be resolved soon.  I get a short email back today saying it will ship out today or tomorrow.  It just seems to me very unorganized and ...well, not really my best experience.  That experience will keep me from purchasing nokta for now.  I don't have much confidence in what the end results will be either. That's just my gut feeling, and I truly hope I am wrong. I treat my customers with respect, and make it a point to keep them informed.  Unfortunately that seems like a rare thing these days.

  7. Just for clarification, I have not demanded or asked for anything in any form from garrett, and I never plan to. My communication with them was solely to explain why I feel they let me down, so they understand it actually cost me extra money to solve the problem myself, that I paid them to solve in the first place. And if they learn anything from this is up to them. I want nothing in return.  I'm sure they are a good company in many ways. My experience may be unique.

  8. My dealer had a tracking number for the cover within hrs of my inquiry about it. I honestly thought it was mistakenly not put in the box, until after my dealer told me what his distributor passed on to him.  Honestly,  the cover is not what set me off. Ironically, the fact that the new coil worked way better than expected, is what irritated me. It proved to me that I was in fact right that the coil I sent in for inspection and replacement if needed, is obviously faulty. And since I went through great lengths and paid money for that service, but was not taken serious, it cost me more money to get my atx working as it should. That cost would have been covered by the seller I bought it from, if garrett would have done what they were asked and paid to do originally.

Would make more sense if some larger player would just buy them, or their product. Would certainly speed up the larger distribution.

    GC

And that would most likely eliminate the very attractive price. I'd rather wait, than have one of the best aspects of the e1500 be swallowed and spit out by the competition.  And people need to also understand,  that if a small, new company can put out a machine of this capability, for this price, then all of these well established companies should definitely be able to also. Let the competition weed out the greed.

Yes I have been in contact with Alex and his AlgoForce, but nothing has been mentioned of a date to the US.   He knows we are just as excited and eager as the rest of the world.

Just like a fine wine and fresh dish of spaghetti with meatballs, it gets better with time.

I did send an inquiry several days ago. I fully expect an email back tomorrow with the list of dealers near me who have several in stock, and are waiting to take my money.  But like they say.. you can wish in one hand and crap in the other... you know the rest lol  I'll be impatiently waiting for them to get smuggled in 😁

A good book for you might be "Mineral Resources of Elko County, Nevada", Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology. Bulletin 106, 1991, by Lapoint, Tingley, & Jones, probably in stock from University of Nevada publications, or even at the Carlin Trend store in Elko. This book will have you using plenty of diesel!

I think you're right about the lack of Tuscarora response. And nobody talks about Gold Creek.

    Just a couple bulletins off

I don't know where you live in Elko County, but I have a friend who made some good finds around Tuscarora way back with VLF detectors and came up with a 1 oz rock & gold sandwich there 5 years ago with a GPZ. I've never detected there, but it has lots of history and placer output.

Tuscarora is one of the places I'm researching.  I posted a thread asking if anyone had detected out there, and all I got was crickets lol I took that as it must be so good, nobody wants to talk about it lol  I'm actually pretty sure I've got gold within a mile of my house,  but unfortunately I believe it to be of the carlin type deposits,  so not even a good Ole gold pan will recover it for me.  I WILL find gold this year. At $4/gal diesel fuel, I'm guessing it will be a $1000 1 grain flake, but worth a million in entertainment.
