I can tell you where the Legend has already failed (for me) and that is the length. I'm 6'5 and the Legend is only 52" extended. The Nox is I think 56" , and that wasn't long enough until I went with Steve's CF which added 2". I can't find the info on what the Deus 2 extended max length is. Hopefully I can get a longer "tall man" CF lower for the Legend. I haven't even bought it yet and it's failed !🤣

Nokta/Makro and Xp both make longer middle shafts. Looks like deus2 arm cuff assembly will be exactly same as original deus so should be covered if ya get a deus2.

If these bone phones work well, I will strongly consider using them. I know I'm missing out by only using the speaker, but I won't dare hinder my situational awareness by using earbuds or headphones.

With Deus or ORX back phones you can hear your surrounding really well. Prob my favorite part about them. Of coarse if your in extremely noisy ground still would hinder your ability a bit. They have worked well for me in snake territory. I think the bone phones will be even better

The reason is simple , this is because of the control box .

A Simplex control box weights around 300g and even if it is not at the bottom end of the detector , it is 300g more to sweep for your shoulder vs a Deus with the CB in the pocket ...

    The same with the Equinox , its pod ( handle+ CB ) weights 430g . The same with a Vanquish , pod + handle 400g , etc ...

Btw the Deus CB is very light ( 150g if I remember well ) , then it is still quite cumfortable to use with the CB on the shaft

Makes sense. Funny how that small amount of weight will make a huge difference with longer swing times. Can swing the deus all day. Some other machines not so much. One thing for sure I would never tell my wife these reasons for the deus being a must have cause of the light weightlessness. She would think I'm getting wimpy ha ha ha.🤣🤣

Agree the Deus armcuff is too close from the hangrip especially for tall persons ( like me )  .  I will tell this asap to my dealers in France so that they inform the XP guys ...

Thanks man. There is a slight adjustment that allows ya to move the armcuff back a slight bit. Not quite enough for me. 👍👍

  5. I would say it's more of great marketing strategy that has worked well for Xp since the start. For me the armcuff assembly could be just a bit longer from the handgrip to arm strap. I think that would help the balance feel a bit better with the big coils. No doubt is one of the best feeling lightweight machines with the 9" coils. I love the feel of the equinoxes with Steve's carbon fiber setup and nice armcuff and stand he sells. Even with the 11" coil makes it a great feeling machine to swing. Be interesting to see how the new Legend feels with the new 11" coil design. The simplex and 11" coil feels pretty heavy. Even the simplex with 9x5 coil for some reason even feels heavy. Even though I know it's not a heavy machine. To me it still feels heavier/more unbalanced to me. Hopefully Legend feels better. But that's just being nitpicky by me it's nothing that I would ever let be a deal breaker. Even with all those machines the lightweight of the deus still draws me to grab it first.

She did mention it in the broadcast.  Something to the effect of, "You'll have to use wired headphones for diving as wireless doesn't work well underwater".

Now, I would like you draw your attention to a very important point:

As the supply lead times for components are very slow due to the chip crisis worldwide, once we ship the initial stock we have, we may experience delays.

Hit me up if anyone interested in a preorder!

Ill try and keep up with prices as I get them. Don't have prices for the big coil and headphones yet.

  10. Who knows huh they are a french company lol. Looks like they tried to kinda categorize the features from looking at the picture. They are my favorite pin pointer to use. With or without being connected to the machine. Don't buy from amazon, hit me up when your ready. Can save ya a few bucks anyway

  11. If theres one machine I can say I hate would be the FORS machines. The way they designed the handle/grip with the button in the middle is absolutely a arm killer. Cant grip it correctly with the button in the middle. At least I cant. If you have tiny hands you might be ok. Simplex gives you a lot more options and is prob deeper when comparing 11" coils. I would go for anything else but one of these arm cripplers lol. The way they balance doesn't help either. Even with the 5" coil still a arm killer.

If NokMak wants me to put my Equinox down they need to work on adding more tone options, especially multi tone. Keep that true threshold based all metal mode. Add recovery speed, and we probably have a deal.

I second that! Also has to be lightweight,  nokta/makro cant seem to figure out that part. Or make a land and water version. I like a good waterproof machine but don't like the extra weight they bring with them for land hunting. Example simplex with the 5x9 coil is a heavy machine. 5x9 feels as heavy as the 11" Buttons also on simplex are really uncomfortable to use as a park machine when pinpointing a lot. Way to hard to press. Guessing cause of waterproofing.

  13. Dogodog sorry to hear that buddy. I had a customer that had a similar situation. After a bit of them not answering I just set him a replacement part so he wasn't left hanging. Brand new machine he bought and couldn't even use it. If you decide to buy a new coil yourself let me know I can help ya out a bit. Try to also email Van Boon he is the main guy to talk to at the service center.
