If it wasn't for guys like you Steve! And those from the mining company It would be a very sad world.
we would have been reading about it on the news.
"Elderly couple perish in W.A outback due to getting bogged" ect ect
lucky you followed your instincts and went looking for them, you could have just as easy said to yourself " oh well no one home" and left.. then checked up on them a few days later. The outcome may have been very different
I can understand you being very angry
i guess you see it too many times, and you have had a gutful.. can not blame you one bit
Fingers crossed no more dramas this year.. i doubt it though
us grey nomads are on the move.
People should understand WHY the pastoralist need to know roughy where we will be, in situations like this, if someone had to notify the authorities, then you guys would have an idea where to begin to look..
they were very very lucky.
now i will wait for your next story Steve
you should write a book.

Hi everyone
just found this on Parks Victoria web site and thought i would share for anyone who may be interested to know
that could be planning a trip down under
who here in Victoria In Aussie land does the Gold Prospecting Tours
Even us Aussies may be interested to know who do the tours
I was looking at the fees.. not cheap!
guess these are the only gold propecting tours that have all their paper work in place
The only ones who are licensed and insured to take people on tours.

Be more than happy...will be bloody ecstatic if I have to dig a big deep hole!
What happens if there is a big bit of rust, like a big bolt.. down at the bottom
often wonder how they get down that deep.
Nah i reckon you will dig up a ripper bit of well here's hoping
then your new nickname will be " Mr happy ecstatic Tuna "

Yep. He had it advertised at $900 and was willing to take gold instead of cash which suited me fine. So 18 grams @ $50 per gram makes Steve a happy little tuna
Good to see it worked out for you
So your not madtuna your happy little tuna.. cool!!
Now once you get that beast of a coil, hope you will still be a happy little tuna after digging the nice big deep holes, you will be digging.

Thanks for sharing the pictures some of them are pretty cool make you think sometime did those miner fond the motherload did they lost everything............
RR
when we walk around the bush and see the old makeshift camps, Like the shafts they dug, all by hand, probably with a bit of help of dynamite.. BOOM!!!
i reckon a lot of it was hit and miss
sink a shaft.. bugger nothing! Sink another shaft, they hit the motherlode
A few would have lost everything including thier lives,
while others did very well, only to spend it on booze and such

One way to keep fit hey Golden?
