Most big ones are found at shallow easily detected depth, therefore lighter more maneuverable detectors are quite adequate when it comes to being in the 'right spot'. You won't find too many large nuggets in 'flogged' ground.

Beats me as to why you thought that beach hunting at Bell's beach would turn up anything. You should have contacted Pat ( SteelePhase) as he lives at Ocean Grove, which would have been a much better choice.

Can't wait to try one of these coils on a QED. The Bulgarian carbon fiber CC coil has yet to come up to expectations so far.

For your information Simon, Mitchel does not partake of alcohol. He has gone to Coiltek to check out some maps. The weather is very wet at the moment. The most rain for at least six months. Hopefully we may get to swing a coil tomorrow.

Northeast, the lambs were very time demanding, so I ended up giving them to a lady who who was a wool classer and who had sheep of her own. She said they were very well bred and would be wool producers. I did get quite attached to Jackie, as she had real personality.

Here in Victoria money should be no problem. Card or cash. It's not like out in the 'boondocks' of WA or north Queensland. Don't go mad on what you bring clothes wise as clothing is cheap here, and plenty of choice. The weather is not going to be freezing, although the nights can be chilly. I have a good pick for you, and any other gear you may need. Suggest you buy a pair of Oliver boots while you are here. They are just the best.  See you soon Mitchel.
