Use the antenna cable. The coil can't communicate with the controller while it's under water. Antenna cable works great

I had that problem too. Turns out I needed to use an older 2.0 USB cable and plugged into a 2.0 USB socket on the computer... 2.0 have a white part in the opening and not a blue one.... at that worked for me... hope it may help others...

i had the problem last Sunday as the power lines were in the back yard. ugh. eventually I had to try Deus mono and tried each frequency until i got to a higher one ( can't remember now. that was a long time ago) and then i was able to detect and i seemed to do well too.

I wish I knew. I want the 9 inch one. Lol

it is my "feeling" that higher disc loses depth. I do dislike how XP wastes all those lower TID's and jams them together at the higher ones. You could notch out up to 30 if you want and it won't cause dept loss if that helps ya.

how does the straight shaft feel compared to the "S" shaft? any type of comparison would be interesting to hear about. thanks

I just tested this and it appears to be related to one of the updates, not sure if .70 or .71 version, when not paired it works as expected and sensitivity is great. Volume and sensitivity weak when paired. I am sure this will be addressed in a future update.
Turn on, hold power button for 5 seconds, when you feel the vibration press the button twice and you will get back the performance (you may know this just posting it in case you dont).
thanks... I'll probably use the carrot until I do the update and see how that goes...

in a way, I'm glad that I'm not the only one. Maybe it will work better whenever I decide to upgrade to v7.xxx

My MI6 is one that I've had so that might be part of the problem. But while using it with the D2 it is really weak. While it's on and I go to the menu on the controller I can max it out at 50 but it still does not work well. I have to almost touch a coin to set it off. I charge it fully. I've tried both of the audio settings. The Garrett carrot is at least 5 times better. Are there any other settings that are available to make it work better? Or .... toss or replace? thanks

does the silencer change back to a certain setting after going off the magic program and then back on?

If you switch to Full Tones in any program except Sensitive Full Tones and your discrimination is above -6.4, you will hear no Iron audio. Apparently, full tones requires the iron disc set as low as possible.
shaking my head, and scratching my beard. why?? why can't we use any disc in full tones in any program? does anyone have any idea? can someone that is hooked up to XP ask for me/us?
(off topic) things are getting weirder and weirder. I just did a buy it now on eBay and now can't pay anymore on eBay using PayPal. I don't like the other options and don't want eBay to have any of my debit or credit card info. Bye Bye eBay...

Are you updating the remote first and then the WS6's? I had trepidation but mine went fine...

went out for a while today to a new field. I tried the 1st program.. General. only tweaks were raining to tones in the 2nd and 3rd tones. I can't believe how quiet it was especially at Sensitivity at 95!!! When I'd go over something good I knew it right away. Not much in the field but got a couple of horse tack buckles, a small musket ball and lots of can slaw. Towards the end of the field and after about 3 hours I got a pretty decent 1873 IH... The only thing that I had trouble with was not finding where the heck was the setting to pair the MI6... This menu system really befuddles me. I am liking this machine more and more. over and out for now.

I just did the V 0.7 update. Seems like everything works. It did wipe out my custom programs though. Can't get out today but I will be testing asap. Anyone else do the V 0.7?

I've settled into FAST, which is just SENSITIVE with Pitch mode square tones and Reactivity of 3. I'm mostly coin-shooting in modern parks just to learn the D2's nature right now. I've used DEEP HC and RELIC and found a couple of silvers at my roadside carnival, but those modes are only practical on a less polluted site. Get into aluminum trash and you're in for mental overload. I can't tell silver from clad since they seem to ID in the same area. Perhaps with experience there will be some kind of audio tell.

Johnny, I used pitch a little but not liking it yet. To me it is basically a 2 tone program... iron and everything else, right? Trouble that I had with it was that there is very little info with it. It is either soft or loud or louder depending on size and depth. So then I have to look at the screen every beep to have an idea what might be under the coil., right? At 75 years old I do not want to dig or look at the screen every beep. Do you have any tips on using pitch? thanks, gene

Those are some great finds! I’ve been using both sensitive and sensitive ft modes and like the way they work in polluted areas. The only changes I make are changing program 2 to full tones also. Program 3 with no disc is noisy, but seems to lock on to good targets. When all those tones get to be too much I’ll just switch to program 2. I also vary the reactivity on both programs depending on how polluted the area is that I’m detecting.
seems like we are on the same track. keep in touch

At first and because I had the D1 for years I made a custom program because well... I , you know, I can make a program that works better than the ones that the programmers can make. I did have some success with it. How could I not, really. They did make it idiot proof didn't they? Anyway, I went out the last couple of days to 2 farm fields that me and my buddies have hit many many times. Since there is a ton of junk iron I started with the 2 Sensitive Programs. Sens FT at first. It has -6.4 ( the manual stated the Disc is 6.8 but it's not) Disc so I can hear EVERYTHING. Talk about sparky. Sounded like overloaded high voltage. I used it for about an hour and I like how fast it is and how there aren't a lot of loud high squeaks when it goes past iron. I have very bad hearing and tinnitus so I struggle to hear a lot of the tones. I then tried Sens 3 tones and adjusted the tones to where I could hear them best. That was much quieter. Having the Disc at 6.8 did give me those high squeaks coming off of iron though so I had to keep checking to see if it was a good squeak or a bad squeak. Sens also has a small notch that i got rid of. I just don't feel confident with the Sens program. I keep feeling like it's by passing stuff by. Needless to say that even tho I was new to the programs and kept messing with them, they sure do work well...
If any of you use either the Sens or Sens FT let me know how you're doing with them and any tweaks you did. Much more to play with and I still haven't touched General yet.

Has Anyone Tried The New Wsa Ii-xl Full Sized Headphones?

I just got mine from Char. Only used them twice but am loving them already. The WS6 were driving me crazy because I have hearing aids and the WS6's keep hitting the volume rocker switches. I had a pair of headphones that took the WS4 puck and the WS6 fit fine but I kept getting feedback with them so that was frustrating. The XL's paired up beautifully and sound great, and NO FEEDBACK squealing !!! Comfortable for me. I can really hear those softer sounds now that I couldn't with the WS6's.
