  1. "In my case I'll keep inside an harness pocket that iron nail and set everything underwater..."

No one responded to the above statement.   Is this how the machine should be adjusted...by doing it in the SALT water..... vs wet sand, then entering the water?   If you set it in the wet sand .... then get out there waist deep (where things start really changing), will it be running correctly?  OR, will there be adjustments needed going in and out of the water to ensure you are getting the best possible depth?

  2. I like to see the really OLD stuff..... so hopefully you will post some.   Seems more dirt diggers have an interest in the machine now.  So im sure they will have settings advice.   Do some testing on found targets..... then flip some switches.... im sure you will find your own settings.  Its not an out of the box machine per sa, for best results it takes some time to  know whats its doing and trying to tell you.   Ive wondered why more people in the UK havent seen the progress of the MDT.  Look forward to you finds.... and impression.

  3. Looking at those finds thou, i think most of us would be digging those.  Even the bottle caps .... corona and bud light have a bit of copper in them so they can be in the coin range on some machines..... and sound REAL good.  There was surprisingly little iron targets.   Sometimes it just doesnt matter how deep a machine is .... if its sanded in its sanded in.

  4. Thanks Alexandre.... i just dont want any issues with warranty.   Curious why you dont just do a box or tube that allows us to put lith in it .... which could be used on both versions if they wont be a lot of difference in performance?  Much like the CZ... which is rated to 250' as well as the Xcal with two pods.   If that was a solution...... this machine could be a steal at half price and easily shipped with lith packs on the other end.

  5. This will be interesting to follow to see just how the box can be modified.   Hopefully there arent more surprises like a unique M8 or something like was mentioned inside the box.   Its going to be difficult for me to do between 4 and 5 hours of hunting..... and just how this battery will hold up to being drained.  I thought Alexandre said they had fixed that with a 10 hour battery.   If not..... ya i suspect those pods arent going to be cheap but WILL BE necessary for several of us unless Lith can be used.   This isnt a plus IMO for what seems to be one heck of a machine.

  6. Gary D... he’s decided to jump ship from ML 😝

so Joe will both those Facebook sites stay active ya think?  Rick... is the machine being barrowed a production model?   I’d like to know if there is any difference for the obvious reason.  How about that manual.... they going to put it up before hand so we will have somewhat a working knowledge of those knobs?  I can’t remember where war nickels fall since they have silver.  Will it get a regular nickel that deep.  Rick... are we still limited to 5 hours or less depending on settings?

  7. There maybe some misunderstanding on that coil ear damage.  I believe they were talking about a temporary fix until he could ship him another coil.   I too have broken an ear...... which he replaced the same week.... the time lag to get it to me here in Fl.    Ive broken 2 Nox coil ears as well...... that was within the first year...... it took a week to get both of those also.   Hunting in the water id say really increases the damage to equipment.   With the Xcal ......in that first year warranty i had two coils split and one wire crack, knobs break, and a leak..... and i was going thru a coil cover every 5 mos.   MLs response....... "you hunt to much".   At the time i was hunting 7 days a week 7 hours or more a day with a hunting buddy.   Yes he broke stuff too.......like his Stealth scoop...... twice and a couple of handles lol.   Now how well will this new material work for salt water hunting and heat..... i just dont know.   Theres a lot of torque, then i know plastic has a tendency of becoming brittle with a lot of continued use in the water and heat.   BUT.... this aint plastic.....its pretty durable material.

I too used an ultimate 13 on a Sov.   Great coils on the dry sand.   In the water thou i found having to reduce the sensitivity didnt show much difference between it and the standard coil.   More coverage..... but slow going and PPing was a bit of a bear.  You just couldnt get the coil in the hole either.   His current standard coil can get in the hole easily.  Id sure like to get some extra depth from a 12" coil.   I can say one thing....... extra depth means extra DEEP digging.  YOu have to get that coil partially in the hole to get a good read on what the target is.  Otherwise i think swinging the coil over the hole after your first dig gives really poor TID.

  8. A recent conversation with Demitar he is working on a 12” round coil.   I don’t know if that will suit you Thomas as a larger coil.    I would like to see another inch or two.   Here that would be crazy deep for some gold silver n the salt water.  This virus has really put a damper on his ability to work on it since he can’t get to the beach.  I’ve been begging him to put the ears in the middle.... better balance, coil won’t be nose heavy when you keep adjusting it, and less likely to break them.  He does good engineering but he won’t put one out until he’s happy with it.   I for one hopes it’s sooner than later

  9. GB...  i think we are kind of looking at a different animal with the Nox...... unique from the beginning  for price,  performance, warranty, military discount, multi use, service (1000% turn around) and just the way it stopped the sales of other detectors initially.....both new and used.   You are right about the hunting season as well.   But you know...... warranty seems to have people hanging onto this one.   We should be seeing more come out of warranty soon..... will there be more on the market then....i think so because no one knows what repairs/replacements costs are yet.   there isnt much wiggle room between repairs and NEW..... not like say an Xcal you can buy used do a repair and still be well under the cost of a new one.

  10. I dont know if it is or not.   Its been discussed a good bit.  But im also told for a limited number its going to be pricy.  What are you willing to pay?   Sales are increasing it seems with more talk about it as a relic machine and one that handles difficult dirt.   I dont think we will see this coil for some time.   IF another machine is in the works..... we may not see it for this one at all.   Thats just me thinking out loud.

  11. This may well change depending on repair cost once we start seeing them out of warranty.   Beaches are now opening up ... at least here in Fl to no restrictions.  Most still like this machine because it is such a good multi use machine..... and once paid for the warranty makes it worth hanging onto as well as its ability to easily travel with.   Not many said im selling it because i dont like it.   Money is tight.... but they paid so little for its ability i dont think they feel they can get much out of it.... especially with say just a few month left on a warranty.  Most people will opt to just buy new.  I know some has discussed selling after 2 years......getting a better price .... then replacing it new.

  12. You might want to barrow a small coil...... or even a second hunter.    I also agree...... in that some people THINK they lost it here...... but in fact thats when they realized it was gone.  I get that a lot on the beach looking for peoples rings.  You might want to find out what he was doing and where before he thought it went off his finger.   I think your sensitivity is still way to high...... back it down about 10 and reduce the smaller targets....... not running a pattern and low sensitivity for this hunt just wastes time that can be spent covering more  dirt.   You may have to come up with a system to grid most of the productive part of the yard before working the bush.   If it was in the yard........ you would be surprised how far they can roll.

  13. Good you mentioned sea weed a lot of folks who don’t hunt the beach often don’t realize sea weed especially after a big storm can be pushed up ... then buried.  The sea weed will false a good many machines..... it also correlates the sand catching black sand.   One reason the book recommends GB be done more in the  dry sand before setting the SB near or in the water.  Good video Aaron.  I was surprised as dumbed down as you had the machine that it picked it up.  We can get that from hot rocks and coal cinders.... but it’s mostly a sensitivity adjustment.  Let me ask... on the wet sand we can pickup very small surface iron flakes .... can one GB over them .... eliminate them (kind of like you can by turning the GB knob on a CZ) and how far off would it throw the GB affecting gold targets?

  14. Personally I think ML did replace the Xcal ... at least for many.  Very few water hunters dive... and use a detector.  So the obvious update was a quality wader.  We asked for a machine we could Change the phones and coils on, we wanted it lighter, faster, able to pick up deeper and smaller gold, cheaper better warranty than the 1 year, fewer repairs or mods needed.  We got it at half the price if you did mods and 3X the warranty..... and service improved 1000%.  So unless you really dive .... which 95% of beaches don’t I think they gave us what we wanted.... and a bit more with Bluetooth and magnetic charging.   If you dive.... especially very deep the Xcal might not have been you choice either.... especially to 200 ft.  However.... is it time for them to design a dive ready PI .... yes
