I was going to get a new Simplex for a backup (loaner), but I couldn't possibly buy one over this, its a no brainer... $529 Australian Dollars.
-
You might have hit the nail on the head Simon, was thinking that myself mate... I would love to see Nokta succeed, but its going to be hard to beat the 705 without those extras especially at a similar price point.
-
I was sort of thinking the new Simplex models may have had selectable frequencies like the X-Terra. Be interesting to see the pricing compared to the Minelab.

That was a good video to watch that dirt sure is bad stuff...

Cant wait to find out what they are, its a great time to be a detectorist. I just sold off one machine so might have to get another 😀

I must admit, my first port of call everyday is to check the XP Website for the update...lol

I purchased one and am happy with it.
I was going to buy a tall mans shaft, but that may be a better option.

I've been buying from both and selling on eBay since 1997
Yeah cool F350, I have sold a few things over the years on eBay, the selling fees are pretty hefty these days though. My daughter buys lots of stuff from Amazon, it gets delivered to my house as I am retired. I might start doing some shopping on there myself in the future...her stuff comes in very quickly.

That's a shame Bill, they were a good car's them corollas.
-
I have never made a purchase from Amazon, but I do buy odds and ends from eBay.
-
Hearing it may be as early as Tomorrow, but I am not holding my breath.

Thanks Chase for the update and I also stand corrected, I have a new one here in a box and the manual doesn't say anything about being a PI or a VLF, but it does say 12 kHz which Simon pointed out. I can say that in our hot ground here it handles it extremely well, being Beach or Gold Fields. I also have one paired to my Deus makes finding targets so easy, great bit of kit👌

You might check with a farm tractor/implement repair shop. They probably have some worn discs in their scrap pile.
Thanks JCR I never even thought of that, great idea.👌

Hey unox.... as you can see from this pic, I just drew out the shape on the plough disc and cut it out with a angle grinder. The curvature of the disc is ideal for a digger. I did get the cutting slits done by a saw workshop.
Thanks Bootscrape, I will keep a lookout for a plough disc. I made all my own picks from 4wd springs, but I want to refine them a little and the plough disc will be the perfect for what I am looking for.

I made my own version of the Predator Phoenix shovel from a plough disc. The steel in these discs is ideal for prospecting picks and shovels. The curvature is similar to the Phoenix blade and cuts a perfect plug.
That's a great looking tool you make there Bootscrape, I am big on Diy stuff. Did you use some sort of template for that shovel or did you just wing it as you went along.

Just speaking to my mate who is a Dealer here in Australia, he said there definitely Pulse Induction.
-
I was always led to believe they were Pulse Induction as well F350, I did see similar to what Simon has posted when I done a quick search. It clearly says VLF there, but I am sure there a Pulse.
-
Pulse Induction, there a very hardy Pin-Pointer I have 3 MI-6's. My oldest one is just shy of 5 years old.
Edit: You know what maybe they are a VLF Pointer.

Do I understand this correctly (finally)?
That is correct GB, use your remote on the stem and put you ws6 puck in your pocket with your own set of phones attached to them. All you need is an adapter to take the puck as seen here on this link.

Calabash Digger is stating $300 USD link here

Thanks for the story and sharing your pics and finds CPT👌

Nice wide open fields F350, congrats on the finds, I do like that cover on your ws6... looks good.
