Great topic. Thank you Steve... I like this kind of workshop jobs! Very interesting and difficult engineering idea.

Maybe carbonfiber pipe with diameter of mainboard should be good idea too? You can build it water tight too like Excal cover or sometinh similar, but Withes control box shoild be fine too. Good job.

One thing we know right now. The price. Price will be high.

Thank you Steve

I need opinion about Minelab Eureka Gold. Thanks.

Mine is almost flat... ok maybe some units has more bumpy surface of front panel and of course you have right... photoshoped photos.
-
Or this is old version... I'm not sure.
-
No. Steve. This fake panel has not flanel led indicators... factory version is tottaly flat. This not. Check battery status indicator.

I'm an owner of Quad Workshop, so if you want to go to metal prospecting on quad, go with Yamaha Grizzly 700. Easiest maintenance machine, cheap parts, good stablility, fuel consumption, plush suspenssion. Look for 550 version. Price will be lower and you safe some $ on fuel.

Fake machine are everywhere, even here in Europe... Garrett pinpointers, Minelabs, Tekcnics, Fishers.
Many peoples want to earn easy and fast money...
-
Deus coil isn't salt waterproof... and this is the pain. Here in Europe you can easy lost your warranty after salt beach water hunting.
-
Ok I know issue from Garrett. The pain is power switch...
Recon wasn't for me
-
Nice. How soon? Few years of field test ? We need pro who translate it for normal level user lanugage
-
Ok. I was ordered used Recon detector, and after shippment from USA to Poland (Europe) unit doesn’t work… you can't power up...
I’m owner of 4 months ATX too, (used twice), and I sold the unit from Poland to UK. After shipment doesn’t work too! Could you help me and resolve the problem? This is weird situation.

Shelton, thanks for posting those. The CTX 3030 is one of my favorite metal detectors and one I am going to be using a lot more in the future. Those settings will come in very handy.
Gary Drayton is "the man" when it comes to beach detecting with the CTX 3030 and Excalibur. He has an incredible blog at http://hardcoretreasurehunting.blogspot.com and sell some of the best books on the subject on his website at http://www.garydrayton.com I own a couple myself and highly recommend his books for anyone wanting to go to the next level in beach detecting.
Yes Gary D. is my idol, too

Thank you Steve.

For your terrain conditions and gold prospection you need simple to repair and buletproof machines like Yamaha Rhino, Honda Rincon. Canam with Rotax engine is too compilicated.
