I don't intend to use it to search holes or pin point a shallow target. (I don't like bending/kneeling down any more than I have to... 😆) I just want one to identify a small target that is already out of the hole in maybe a handful of sand that I simply can't find. Drives me nuts.
In that case, don't worry about it being a PI.

Don't think anyone knows.

I probably should have asked this question before I ordered the pin pointer. 🤔 Anyway, I was reading the other thread about using a pin pointer at the beach, and it got me interested in giving it a try.
I have tried the Garrett carrot with no success. I got two lemons that would either not turn on at all or would just vibrate away as soon as I turn them on. Returned both after new batteries did not fix the problem.
So I thought about the Fisher F Pulse and then started checking prices for others. I saw that the Pro-Find 35 was $99 as opposed to the Pro-Find 40 which is $150. I saw the only difference seemed to be the 40 had a 10% increase in depth. The F-Pulse is $120. Wound up just hitting the "Buy Now" button on the Pro-Find 35.
Did I screw up? Anybody have problems with this unit?
Thanks......
For the beach a PI pinpointer such as...Nokta Pulsedive pinpointer and Fisher F-Pulse...work better.
The Pulsedive is going for about $100.
Seems Fisher is having a sale on Ebay. Use the...make an offer...button.

I wonder if after GBing out hot rocks...the detector will see a nonferrous target through the hot rocks? I think the Tarsacci does something like that.

"Beast mode" is not quite there yet. Notice the VDI numbers in Park vs Beast on the nickel...plus depth was weaker.

Seems they've been working on it since the fall.

Very nice find!
Here's a tip from Gary Blackwell regarding the 1236.

Enjoying this thread. Why Beach 2 though and not 1?

Nice haul! If you don't mind me asking, which refinery are you sending it to?

I'm thinking the Patriot is being put out to pasture. Hopefully FT is making room for something new.
BTW...they accept offers. 😉

Legend (2023 version with carbon fiber and LG30) vs X-Terra Pro vs Nox 700/900
I have reviewed many posts, websites, and videos comparing. What I'd love is more of a subjective view from you gents based on specific usage and preferences.
Usage: 2 times per year at a beach focusing on wet sand, surf, and a couple feet in the water. Rest of the year in some old forest type locations or maybe some parks as well.
Desired items: Primarily jewelry (rings, necklaces), secondary would be coins.
Price consideration: None, pretend all 4 are the same cost.
Please do not recommend other detectors, stick to these lot and let me know your thoughts. Both objective and subjective feedback welcome!
Nox 900.

Has Minelab fixed the 600/800's issue of targets near the water's edge disappearing when a wave washes over the coil?
Minelab Manticore $1199 & Equinox 900 With 2 Coils $999 = Golden Success Pics.

Just curious Gerry, when did Minelab officially start this deal?
