Nice run, fun finding those bens, they ring up pretty good.
Congrats

Too bad they didn't have the GPS marking on the detector so you could upload it to a computer or phone later.
Maybe the Deus III will have that lol

The app sounds good but since phone needs to stay on and uses blue tooth you probably should bring a charging pack for the phone. Your phone should have geo data already when you take a picture and that should show on a map. iphone has them in the photo album that way.
You sure the squiggles was not you wandering all over? I tend to hunt in what I think is straight lines only to keep seeing the holes I already dug lol

There is one for 99 cent on steam with top down view not exactly a simulator lol. Also this one for $9.99 which allows you to fist fight other detectorists

Consider using the latest UT engine? Probably more suitable for realism as far as game engines go.

Could be ancient and brought over from europe. Doesn't necessarily have to be from this country.
Also check for stuff from the islands.

Very fine assortment. The Silver pipe band has a Hallmark that should be real and will give the maker and date.
F350 looked up the pipe band, 1919. 1920 Merc wasn't far off and also the baseball badge.

Buddy and I were able to get permission on an old farm. The owner doesn't want anyone else on it and has been incredibly generous to let us dig there. Think we still have about 20 acres to fart around on, targets are sparce but there are interesting finds. Image of some of them. For privacy reasons I won't post pics of the landscape or of key structures. Figured a few of ya might enjoy these, maybe even have more info on some of them.

Thanks kac,
We thought so too, but I'm pretty sure this place got hit really hard in the past. It should have produced a lot more in less time than it did. 🫤 I'm afraid it will only give up random finds after lots of searching. I think I know who was there before.
Time to dig out the smaller coil and hit the trashiest spots for that trime horde out there somewheres......

Don't forget many manufacturers give the machines to these you tubers to play with and keep so expecting an unbiased review is unlikely.
Tests I do is target for target in the field which proves much more to me. When hunting with buddies I make sure I am not using the same setup as they are. You would be surprised how similar the machines really are in depth and performance.
Often people get snubbed for using older or less expensive machines and you will notice that posts often have Name Brand finds Gold or Deep Silver when in reality more often than not just about any machine can find those targets.
I almost didn't buy a D2 because of the outrageous claims that were made. I stopped posting my finds because people more interested in the settings and machine used than the finds themselves.

Nice 64! Grounds look really promising.

Nice shape on merc, found a 1920 earlier today but badly worn.
Congrats

Many new machines and all SMF's don't have true all metal mode.

Those sinker holders are nice, congrats.

Love to see how it works in the real world. I wouldn't go head to head with an Orx with 9"hf as that coil is iron blind.
Would like to see how it handles coal/coke, iron rich grounds and black sand.
Does he have a USA distributor?
-
I do in areas that are riddled in small iron.

Very cool finds. The one with the S and wings silver mark might have been made by this co.:

I'm sure shipping costs are also a factor.

Good to see couple old coins in the mix too. Congrats.

Out of curiosity, try setting recovery to lowest value.
Ground balance it over an area with no targets.
Set recovery speed to highest value.
Re-ground balance over same spot and see if the numbers change.
-
Water hunting I take the covers off especially at the beach. The rest of the time I keep them on especially in rough grounds with rocks around to prevent chipping.
-
Ground balance zeros the machine to the ground creating a baseline. Recovery speed effects how a targets signal is condensed. Slower will blend targets, too fast you can condense the signal and make it difficult to pick out fringe targets.
Ideally run recovery speed so it maches the size of a target. This is a good starting point.

Good ole pi would find all the nails for ya and then some 🙂
If your getting bigger spikes on needle you may want to dig those but should be ok ignoring the tiny blips. I'd concentrate efforts on the larger than nail range of targets to clear the area.
Still amazes me how the old simple machines still do well in some conditions.

Not the happy ending i was expecting, thought the forums were getting a little risky.
Congrats anyways!

Smaller the iron the easier it is for the Tesoro's I have. Larger nails can be a problem on it. I wouldn't compare the Tesoro to the 9" hf Orx coil at all, 2 different animals.
As for your machine at 90khz, does it iron wrap on large silver, stacked quarters or large silver coins on edge?
Your machine non-motion? If so how does it handle around modern aluminum trash? That is an issue with most analog machines unless they have good audio modulation it can be difficult to judge depth and seek deeper targets.
Your machine has nice discrimination for that coil.
If you haven't started manufacturing you may want to consider putting the control box under the arm cuff to balance the machine out. That makes a world of difference more so than just a light weight machine.
Selling price? Will it be available in the USA?

Plated chains should have some wear marks on links where you would see copper base plating or bubbling in plating if it's been in the ground for a while.
Acid tests are just a ball park and not always very accurate on metal type.
Looks good from a distance though 🙂
