Very nice finds. I have been soaking my "green gold" in lemon juice overnight. Has been working wonders for me.

I have used lemon juice and vinegar both on "cents" in the past with good results but this "gold" detecting is new to me so I need to learn the techniques to clean up these more PMs.  Thanks for the tip!

  2. Got another piece of gold today with the Impulse AQ.  The clasp and the chain part both test 10K.  I ran it through the ultrasonic cleaner about 6 times and it still has green clinging to it.  Oh well, it gives it character. LOL

I worked a 4 to 6 foot cut in AM and pulled out 17 quarters, 17 dimes, 7 nickels, 12 cents, one .925 earring, one junk earring, three tent pegs, a bobby pin and just a few other pieces of trash.  I knew that I was digging all of the coins except for the nickels and one of the cents.  Tent pegs and bobby pins are still sounding good though.

It was a good hunt after being sidelined for two weeks with tendonitis in my right foot.  I think that I would rather have a broken bone than the tendonitis. 😞

    Thanks for looking.

That's a great chunk of Gold!! And good to see the "AQ" is back on the hunt!

Thanks Joe.  Couldn't have done it without your battery as FT forgot to send back my second battery and battery charger and the battery on the AQ only had a few minutes left on it.  But it's all good now. (knock on wood)  Audio appears to be normal now.

Funny as I thought you were talking about the Donner party of something when I read the title...nice hunk of gold jewelry you got there and spelling is not one of my strong points but I'll bet the donor of that earring really misses it 😉

    strick

And spelling is not one of my strong points either as you have pointed out, and especially with auto correct. LOL  I am much better at listening and digging than spelling. :-)  Maybe I should just post the pictures. He He

That's a nice day.  Well done.

Our 'storm' was not that much in the way of waves at my beach.  It was the hardest rain I've ever been in to find less than $.20!

One thing I didn't show was the 24 quarters that I dug on this hunt too.  It moved just enough sand to keep me busy.  My back and legs let me know about it last night too. LOL

Awesome double gold hunt- congrats! The woman's ring looks like a beauty. I may have gone to the wrong beach today!

Thanks Compass!  My daughter has already claimed the diamond ring and she usually doesn't care unless it has T & Co on it. LOL  Finding a diamond ring that she likes and fits her tiny ring finger has been a real challenge too.  Usually if the ring is that small it is not a diamond ring.

Great gold finds! What's going on with your AQ headphones? I'm awaiting my AQ and was wondering what to look for....

    Bill

Audio.  The wired side and if you touch the headphone connector or the cable near the connector you get a lot of static.  The audio is intermittent.  Letting them figure out whether it is headphone or detector related.

  8. This was my first multiple gold day since my 7 gold ring day in July.  Both the earring and cross are 10K.  The cross has 120 small diamonds on it.  Sure makes it shinny in the sunlight.  The bracelet is SS and is a 2020 Graduation bracelet.  Other earring is a junker.  I used my Equinox today.  Impulse AQ has been sent back to First Texas again. ☹️

Buying a drysuit one has to weigh in their plans on what it will be used for...Me, being a cheap SOB, I get mine on ebay.

    Me..

175 dollar drysuit off ebay, a 8 ounce tube of Aquaseal, a can of HH-66, 3 seals..neck, 2 wrist..And a Aquaseal YYK plastic zipper......Will get the same results (staying dry and warm) as a drysuit that cost thousands!

But Joe, look at the picture of Alexandre in his post.  (and I didn't remember him being so cute in previous pictures!)  Now if you looked like that, wouldn't you go ahead and spend thousands and flaunt that girlish figure and pretty face?  Wouldn't you want to be able to distract all the other detectorist to the point that they could not concentrate on what they were doing?  Just saying...LOL

Or does Alexandre have a "new" LeJag???
