Do you have a quick run down of the mods you have done and there purposes?  Maybe include if you felt the mod was worth it?

Thank you for the advice.  I will probably use my stock coil for a while and maybe branch out as I learn more about prospecting.

Hello, I just bought my first detector.  A used White's TDI for $300.  I have found plenty of nails and scrap metal on some property I own and I want to get out to some gold bearing country and give it a swing.  I joined the GPAA but with Corona virus lurking it seems like most events have been cancelled locally.  

Hello, I am new Prospector/Detectorist and bought an older original White's TDI machine with what looks like a 12inch dual field coil.  There seems to be quite a bit of information regarding the coils on this machine complicated by the different models of TDI available.  

Is there any real need to upgrade the coil to this option or should I just go with what I have?  I read some comments on here calling the stock coil "junky".

Is there a good source of information regarding coils for this machine that can explain the different options?
