Dang! That's nice, with targets like that still in the ground, anything is possible. Love seein' what comes out of that spot. Congrats again
Thanks Eric! As the ground dries and hardens its getting a bit tougher to dig but, I'm not giving up. Maybe I'll start sifting some areas and see what shows up?

I don't know much about any of the items you found but that (military?) belt buckle on the left sure appears to be in good shape. That may get some of the military relic detector buffs here excited.
I've found a couple plumb bobs myself. I would never have guessed they'd be a (relatively) common find. Yours looks like a homemade one. Is that what you were thinking?
All good stuff and thanks for posting.
GB, I found the plumb right next to a crumbled foundation. It is made of lead and I am sure its homemade. I think its pretty cool.

Late afternoon trip to the camp with my youngest son today. He prefers trout fishing over dirt fishing so he ended up with 3 trout and I found what’s pictured. The lead plumb Bob at the bottom came up as a 35 on the Equinox and it was in a cabin site under rocks. My wife had previously found a Chinese lock at the site and now a Chinese coin finally showed up. I’ll hit it again soon and thanks for looking.

True! I went 600 miles South thinking I'd have fair winds an' following seas. Turns out today was warmer back home than here. 😵 Not so tomorrow tho. They'll be shiverin' their timbers, and it'll be nice here.
I thank you all for making this one of the best life decisions I've ever made. It's been a blast so far, thanks for putting up with me.
Keep it fun and enjoy the great outdoors. You have dug some great stuff. I enjoy your posts.

Did you do any hunting this past weekend?
El
I did go yesterday but, nothing good. It was hot and the ground was much drier. I will hit it again next weekend.

Pretty cool find and I don’t think Tom will find one In the greater Monterey area. The shield side is really neat.

Hey!! at least I'm good for something....Right? I think those are great finds. The 2020 Penny is my favorite and the Bic pencil is #2

Thank you for the good info Eric. I do appreciate it. I am still looking for a good place to pick up a Deus.

Love the unfolding on-going story of this site. Hopefully you'll assemble a Riker shadow box, that is dedicated to finds from just-this-site. Will make for a nice home museum display.
Hi Tom... We were in the big city of Fresno and bought a Curio Cabinet with a locking door and felt seal. I will keep all of these finds in a group and well documented as to location etc. We are just waiting for it to be delivered then I will attempt a tasteful set up.

Shinto you killed it. Simply fantastic finds and great job for not walking right past it. Color me impressed.

Joe, the coin is so small that I picture something like an ice pick to make that little hole.. i agree on the sewing it in clothing.
Tim, the Equinox is running fairly smooth at 22 or 23 but the Vanquish even on reduced power is just too noisy and she keeps digging square nails that come up at a 17. I really want her to score some nice targets and stay interested.

Holed coins are the "in" thing right now. The patina on it is great.

Great outing, I would take that wolf button over the 1833 any day of the week. That's just an awesome looking button. Do you know the history of it?
Looked briefly online and found some things close but it’s still a mystery.

Extreme detecting for sure. Possibly getting jumped doesn’t sound fun. Great or more like awesome find though. Worth it!
-
Yep! Time to buy another Equinox. The hot ground seems to handicap the Vanquish.
-
Thank you F350 and Elbert. The coin is small and so is the hole. El, she is a good sport and her turn is coming. She is a greenhorn but doing great. She is running the Vanquish and it’s chattery. I may have to get her something better.

I hunted the camp today found a bunch of old iron trash and a few goodies. No buckles on this trip but did score a tiny silver using the Equinox 6” coil in park 1 stock settings. My wife found the flower button and it made her day. The other button is what I think is a wolf. Both in good shape. May go back tomorrow.

That is pretty awesome but I have maybe a dumb question. Is the field on old ground or did a kid lose a coin from dad’s collection? I see posts like this and just wonder.
-
WHAT? Again? That’s even ready to wear on a chain. All I can say is WoW!
-
Those are some really great pictures of your finds. The story isn’t bad either..

Simmer down pot roast (Tom). El is a nice guy. He wouldn’t do that. 😀

I do not carry a spray bottle. I just put them in a paper towel an into a large pill bottle in my bags or vest. I rinse them at home. I would lose that spray bottle real fast. I have trouble keeping my pin pointer with me. Need to make some improvements I guess.

Thanks F350 it’s a first for me.

Yes sir, grass is a bit tall but lack of rain has it a bit shorter than average.
