  1. has been around for many years Lorenz has two balance channels that work independently or both together also with a dd coil it has ferrous-non-ferrous discrimination as well as a numerical indication and with the large coils it has a conductivity indication of 0-99 ... as you can see the conductivity reading on the pulse detector is not something new that Algoforce has discovered...

    Thank you Steve for your response and warm welcome. I get a good vibe from this forum.

    And, thank you El Nino, video was great help, field test of unit is good insight, and the guy, as you said, knows stuff.

    mater of fact, I was thinking to use two 8m (26 ft) cable loop of Pulse Star, and join them with a Y connector over the 2m (80") frame to reach max depth. I did this with Lorenz universal cables. But, I don't know in this unit i will yield any good and reasonable results. I'm afraid that Pulse star would not work properly. I would like to have you guys opinion on the subject.

    thank a lot.

    Putting in a second coil doesn't add depth, it just helps with electromagnetic interference. the target and depth you gave as an example is just an elusive dream for any metal detector. I have used several pulse detectors, the best and most reliable under normal survey conditions in my opinion is the minelab gpx 4000-5000 series with proper coil setup.

    Σχετικά με τον τελευταίο σας προβληματισμό σχετικά με τις παραστάσεις Garret και Minelap ειδικά με τη διαδικασία ισορροπίας εδάφους...μπορούμε να προσθέσουμε σε αυτή την ""ομάδα" το Lorenz Z2;

    Apart from the Z-1 model which uses only automatic terrain balancing which often does not work smoothly with large frames, the rest of the models which have the ability to manually balance can work in difficult terrains, but unfortunately lose a lot of penetration.

  4. The XTREM HUNTER treasure hunter from XP is coming to annihilate all the deep metal detectors we know!

    with this import the Xtreme Hunter is imported into my country, it's something that always bothers me what most dealers do, I agree they want to sell but I find it unacceptable the way they do it, an experienced operator will definitely not fall into the trap because he has experience learn to evaluate them, but the majority do not have much experience and will make the purchase believing these big words....

    If there were no forums, to inform the world, there would be the perception that a pointer reaches two meters deep 😂

    ακόμα και το gpx5000 δεν είναι σταθερό στις αλλαγές της σύνθεσης του εδάφους;

    The gpx has the best ground balance built into a metal detector ever made, it also has so many options in both settings and coils that you can handle extreme ground conditions. don't forget the gpx is built to work in Australia where it has the toughest terrain in the world.

  6. Anyone who has deus knows there is a program called no motion, I think the 2-box corresponds to this program and I think it is very difficult to get smooth operation, especially if the composition of the ground changes. In my experience, I can easily detect false signals in videos usually produced by 2 box detectors, however I'm sure in European countries it will sell very well because most people get excited very easily, but the excitement stops when they start digging stones

    As strange as deep scanning machines may seem to you, it takes experience to know if it has real capabilities to see targets at depth in different terrains. I often see people who do well in tests and I believe they will do the same in real research. Detectors that can penetrate deep in different conditions need excellent ground balance that will not dramatically reduce signal penetration and currently the detectors that do this are Garrett provided large coils are made & Minelab in my personal opinion .

    I just had a long phone discussion about the Xtrem with my MD dealer in Paris ( who is a friend too ) . He has just received an Xtrem and he will test it during the coming weeks , and will compare it with other deep scanning devices ( Garrett GTI2500 2 boxes , Pulse star PI 1mX1m  ) . This guy is very experienced with deep scanning then this will be very interesting ...

    He thinks that XP has probably significantly improved the 2 boxes ground stability vs older generation models using multifreqs algorithms . He said that XP has improved the 2 boxes ergonomy , the Xtrem is very light ( only 2,9kg ) vs the others . Also it is very compact when it is taken apart into 2 parts ( around 70cms ) and can be stored in a case.

    He told me that it took several years for XP to design and eventually manufacture the Xtrem ..

    I will post as soon as I have more infos ...

    xp is a respectable company and I respect them, I have worked with their machines and am happy, I hope they achieve something special with the Xtrem, but time will tell the real value and not the people whose job it is to promote the detector🙂

    When we talk about deep scanning, we are not interested in picking out metals, the rule says that it is deep it must come to the surface.

    gpx may not have the metal discrimination we all dream of, but it does have conductivity discrimination across the depth range, and that for some experienced operators is enough to get information.

    many manufacturers promise great depths and many people who watch videos taken in favorable conditions are convinced by the results, but unfortunately the truth is completely different when you get out there into the unknown.

    with a large coil don't be afraid to lower the gain and srabiliser even to the lowest point and raise the disc 20 30 cm from the ground, big deep objects won't be lost don't worry. if it is impossible even with reduced settings to work monocoils then a dd coil is required to solve the problem.
