I haven't heard of any reports of the machine in the hands of us "normal" people yet... just testers so far I believe. I gotta think Minelab will post the manual up before they think the Manticore will actually be in real world buyers/users hands so that might be something to watch.... when the manual gets posted it might be a sign that the boxes are in the hands of at least some dealers and going out the door.

Not to point to another forum but substantially more Manticore info was very recently posted by Tom D over there.... including the statement "Manticore is deeper than EQX, faster than EQX, better unmasking than EQX, more accurate ID than EQX, handles wet-salt better than EQX. Another excellent and thorough explanation from Steve. I have my Manticore ordered and paid for already. I'm coming from a Nox800 as the only machine I've used to date so while in waiting mode I've been trying to educate myself a bit and understand exactly what the additional info given to us on the 2D screen actually means in real world hunting... your explanation is one of the more concise and understandable explanations I've read to date.
