  1. Went out today to a spot that I've hammered pretty hard using a custom relic program. This site is heavily contaminated with iron and a little modern trash. I decided to switch it up and used the FAST program with notch ran up to 40. I know I've walked over that belt plate before with a minelab Equinox 800 and my Deus2 believe it or not I'm convinced it was masked by iron.
  2. Sorry I didn’t make that more clear. I’m speaking of single frequencies on the Deus2 in a effort to reduce EMI.
  3. I have only found one script I button in my life and I ran my digging tool right through it!
  4. Yes if only they could talk, this coin was also found at a Civil war pickett location it could’ve even been a soldier’s lucky charm.
  5. 1689 Spanish Cob minted in Lima Peru found in a hay field in Rockingham county Va. I never expected to find a coin this old on this side of the Blue Ridge mountains.
  6. One of my favorite relic sites has heavily minimize soil and high-voltage powerlines going right through the middle of it. I’ve had great success using a modified version of park but I was wondering if there would be some advantages in the hot soil and high EMI using a single frequency. Does anyone have any suggestions what frequency I should start with when looking for lead mini balls about 8 inches deep in highly mineralized Virginia soil? With my current settings mini balls have been ringing up as an 82 and eagle buttons coming in around 75 or 76. I’m not getting a lot of audible EMI from the high tension powerlines but I’m wondering if silent EMI could be masking targets because things just sound differently at this site compared to other relic sites. I’ve gotten used to it but I’m wondering if things aren’t being masked.
  7. There was a lot of square nails around it I found it near a structure that burnt down. I remember I had to wiggle the coil over it to get it to really lock on but it was a much higher VDI than you would expect I can’t remember the exact number but it is in my original post.
  8. Got my shaft a couple days ago and it's been too cold and windy to get out there ever since. It's a work of art I can't wait to get out there and swing it. thanks for the tips about reactivity by the way!
  9. I put considerable effort into finding out who the couple was but I was unsuccessful.
  10. I had previously posted this ring on the Deus2 forum when I found it a few months ago. Since it's about to celebrate its 130th birthday I thought you guys would appreciate some pictures of it too.
  11. No makers mark it is stamped 14 K along with both bride and groom full initials!
  12. Hey Jeff I did some air testing most of the search modes have this ring coming in above 92 however Deep HC, Goldfield and the beach modes bring the numbers down into the upper 80s hope this helps. If everybody works together we’ll figure this machine out.
  13. Jeff, you are correct on the depth and I will check those numbers out for you tomorrow morning.
  14. Went to a sight yesterday that I have hammered hard with my nox800 hidden in the foil and iron was this beauty. I was using a custom version of the park program, reactivity set to 1 and sensitivity set to 98. I only got a blip of a high tone while swinging at a normal speed. When I wiggled over top of it the Deus2 locked on with a solid vid of 94 in every direction. I’m guessing the number was so high because this is a chunky ring weighing in at nearby 10 grams! I have air tested large gold coins and they ring up high as well. So to all you beach guys out there don’t pass up those dimes and quarters!
