  1. Hi Peter Have not been on forum for a bit. It is I having trouble with axiom around meeka/cue. I took it back to prospector's patch and they sent to Garrett Queensland who said there was nothing wrong with it. Sent video to Garrett in the states and they wanted "more detail". So I have the machine back albeit broken( and the box was not damaged) a crack on one of the clamps. (picture attached) I have just now travelled back out bush . Same area SAME PROBLEM. I am going to do another video showing the ground balance readings etc etc but I firmly believe the Axiom cannot handle this ground in comparison to my 4500 with a small mono and my 2300. So I want a refund with no "considerable loss". Will send comparison video tests to the USA and wait for feedback.
  2. Some very interesting tweeks to play with Steve. I assume the machine does its own "self function test" test when you switch it on but I like the idea of interrupting it's frequency scan at either end of its scale. I'm going to think about your threshold tips...
  3. Only interested because knowing he works the same area as myself I was going to quiz him on his settings with the do's and don'ts with the Axiom....
  4. Gone bush are you still around? Just wanted to know if your Axiom was repaired or replaced... mine is in for similar problem as yours ... its been a month with no contact from prospectors patch until I called them today. I believe they sent it to Garrett Queensland. They said there was no issue but I know there is.
  5. Hi all... I too have just come back from the Cue -Meeka area with same problems. This new Axiom could not be used with either the mono nor DD coils. Just way too noisy and continuous GB. I was also digging not just kicking aside hotrocks which previously I could "hear" and ignore with my other machines. I took videos of the unit working the area in ALL modes and settings. Also made a test area for comparisons and recorded results. Am hoping I too have a dud unit otherwise it's no good to me. I used both my 2300 and 4500 to actually find the gold I came back with. Too be clear I am not bagging this machine before Garrett has had the opportunity to look at it.
