  1. The 24k is for gold nuggets and micro jewelry. It not a very good relic hunter. I tried it. Max depth on a dime is 7".  It could be used in heavy iron where depth isn't an issue.

Garrett storm coming will probably be a great relic and gold hunter.

  2. It is strange now, that most coils are 11" round and rest elliptical. An 8" round coil used be a standard size with a bigger coil being a 10" round.

I also would like to see detectors having round coils from 8" to 10".

I have never liked the 11" round coils that seems to be the standard now. I don't understand why that is. 8" or 9" round should be the standard.

  3. According to Nasa Tom. In heavy iron we recover about 5% of the non ferrous that's under the iron.  . A detector that can see thru iron is what most would like to see.

I don't know if it's possible. Maybe Garrett has something new. I'm anxious to see what it is.

  4. The Lobo ST is my favorite Tesoro. It comes with the ground balance set extremely positive. On the circuit board I turned the ground balance 3/4 of a turn negative and it was as far as it could go. Testing in all metal, the ground balance is now slightly negative after the adjustment.

My # 2  Tesoro is the Tejon.
