Nice hunt. That concentric coil does well.

HF coils I would say is the best choice for general, relic and jewelry hunting. I have the 9" hf and the elliptical hf coils. Both are great. Both are good on gold jewelry too. The elliptical goes to 74khz and great on tiny gold.

The simplicity is there and so is the performance.

Nice rings and coins. The Orx does good.

Yes, gold chains can be tough to detect. Try your detector on another gold chain like it if you can. Also depends on how small the gold chain is. A high frequency detector like 40 khz and higher is best on gold chains. If you have too you could try to rent a metal detector like the Minelab Equinox 700, 900 with a 6" coil or a Nokta Gold Kruzer.

That's a heavy earring and they are expensive. I would test it to see if it's silver or gold.

I know a lot of people liked the Tesoro's but they just couldn't keep up with the new detectors coming out. I don't think they were selling good enough because of that and they didn't want to use a screen in there detectors. I wish they were still in business though. They are such a nice detector to use. Also had a lifetime warranty at the time. 

I think they did sell everything to someone if I remember right. I don't think it will be coming back.

 It looks like a tag of some sort. Can't find what it's for.

I like the warranty increased. Tesoro had a great warranty.

Nice finds. I'm surprised a single frequency detector gets false signals. That's been a problem with Minelab since the Equinox in my opinion.

I would definitely try this in the water. An aerodynamic coil cover could work, making sweeping easier in the water.
