Some interesting thoughts from users of both. Im leaning towards buying a sdc for its compact design, its waterproof, and how it handles noisy ground. For where i go i think the sdc would suite better (ability to put it in a backpack for long hikes) but the coil knuckle setup up has always felt awkward to me. Currently using the 7000 but now heading into territory that has big rivers that need crossing and don't want to drop the zed in the water
