  1. Thanks Bill for taking the time to put this together. I've been using the Apex for 2 years now. In my opinion it's the perfect grab and go machine. Easy to use, runs stable and is light weight. My only wish is that it would have been waterproof. Other then that its a thumbs up in my book.
  2. Great Save. A nice piece to display. Some hunters would regard that as trash and scrap it.
  3. Hello, Its been a long time since I've been on a forum. I started collecting coins in the mid 70's, I was about 14 years old. The coin dealer that was in our area had brochures on metal detectors. So as a kid I thought this was the coolest thing ever. That was until I asked my Dad for $500 to buy one. I bet you know how that worked out lol. Fast forward to 10 years ago I stumbled across an article on metal detecting. I had no idea the popularity of the hobby and how affordable a decent machine costs. After some research my son who was 8 at the time purchased 2 Whites Treasure Masters to get us started. We had a blast. Then we both moved up to the MX7. When Whites closed its doors I was devastated as I'm sure many of you were. Since then I have purchased the Garrett Apex and the AT Pro for water hunting. No complaints with my Garrett machines but I still take my Whites machines out on a regular basis. At 63, the weight of the MX7 is a killer on my elbow. I enjoy hunting parks, tot lots, and fresh water. Here in Rochester I'm close to Lake Ontario and all of the Finger Lakes. The only down fall is our short summers. This has been a great hobby that I love sharing with others. My only regret was not starting 40 years ago. Happy Hunting everyone Bob
