I’m not much different than when I was a kid in school if I liked something I excelled in it .This detector is showing me a lot of interest but the proof is in the pudding. In this case it’s in the field under various condition.
That’s what’s next ,
Hope to see lots more videos. I think it was said it would come out in March and that’s just around the corner.
Chuck
May have to make a few when I get the V80.

The new Arado never took off. Two expensive so I passed on getting one. Cheers.

My second detector was a Bounty Hunter Red Baron 7 D. Can't remember the small company brand of my first simple BFO unit back around 1969 or so when I was in Jr. High.
Yep . RB5, RB7, Mini RB and RB10. Found some nice Confederate Buttons in Cenreville Va. Late 1980's

Arado!, and here I thought that was made up for the detectorists. GaryC/Oregon Coast
Yes Sir. My first overseas purchase in the late 70's. Was deeper in soil with low minerals. High mineral not so good.

I use to find the deeper Minnie Balls others could not find by using a simple trick with my Garrett Master Hunter. I would concentrate on the meter. If the meter needle barley moved I would dig. Nice

Based on my testing. No Rainbow or Mighty Mites 😃. I tested them too. Call one out. Thanks

They just keep comin' !
You have the Smithsonian of Metal Detectors...👍
Do you still own your first detector ?
It was a Metrotech 220 A. No, but you can find them pretty easy still. I have tested many hundreds of detectors. They may put me in the Smithsonian as I grew up in Washington D.C. Nice.

Very nice collection George. Two of my favorite detectors that I ever owned were the Garrett Groundhog and the Deepseeker ADS that had an optional 14 inch coil if my memory serves me right that i hunted for very large and deep iron with.Had a question for you do you happen to have one of the late and great treasure hunter Richard Rays detectors that he had built and sold around 1980? It was called a phantom. Also of interest my grandfather had a detector called Comet Fireball that he would let me use sometimes when I was a kid.

I like the detector with the Fast choice when I go into a very old park with lots of trash. The smaller coil matters.

For an X-Terra fan the new Interface may be impressive?

Will the price be lower to compete with other brands?

Although lacking any details, these are the kind of reports that I want to hear, specifically how the Manticore performs at supposedly hunted out sites.
What can the Manticore find that an Etrac, CTX, or Equinox has left behind?
I only talk shop when I go out with my Detecting Buddy (only one).

Or could it be what we left behind that all the others would have gotten any way. Hard to say.
