I too am not real happy with the location of the headphones plug. Now with the adapter cord if it's long enough I could run it back under my arm. That's a maybe.

I do believe I'll watch the videos on the MXS and Racer 2 before I buy anything. I too want to hear Steve's review on both detectors.. In the pass I had to have the first one out the door. But I'm looking at this detector for my coin detector that I want to have years from now. I want to fall in love with it and with a true love you can't let it go.

A trip like that would be for me one in a life time. Like you said it's too much space to be running around and if I came I'm there for the gold.

It's just a dream away and five thousand dollars. That's a wild guess that I'm making on the money.

  3. Looking at the back of the MX Sport I see the coil plug is on the right as you look at it . Now I swing a detector with my right hand. That tells me being the headphone plug is on the left the cord will be coming across the top of the Sport. I sure it was a simple cheap fit for White's. I wish White's would come out the back above the battery box. Now if you a left hand swinger it may work better for you.

I like all the other the MX Sport has to offer. But just maybe it would be good if it will come in right are left hand detector. It could be  I'm standing on the wrong side.

PS Pass it on to White's Digger. It's a easy flip flop between the two plugs.

  4. Hi khouse

I know all the other detector companies have made the waterproof headphones optional.

If I go buy a land detector I get land headphones. Now I buy a waterproof detector to hunt in the water. Oh I can hunt in the water with it as long I don't get my head wet. I can do it if I'm willing to put out another hundred dollars to buy the headphones I needed to start with.

I guess I was in hopes White's would make it a waterproof package.

  5. I just looked and here I'm thinking about buying a waterproof detector. But White's is telling me the waterproof headphones is optional. Why don't White's just sell me the waterproof headphones and make the waterproof detector optional. This makes about as of much sense as other way around.

Oh well it's nothing says I have to buy it. I'll leave it at that.

I guess you going to say the 7000 is not worth the money and you hurt your back hauling all that gold in.HaHa

i'd have to say your doing it all the right way. That's some good looking gold you found. Best of luck on your next trip out.

  7. In April 2016 issue of Lost treasure starting on page 44 you can read the review by Andy Sabisch. On the next page you can enter your name and have a chance to win with the right answer.

Now this is just my opinion. I wouldn't buy it on what's said in Lost treasure I'd say I've learn more here about the MX Sport. Andy done a great job with his review. It's just so much info has been posted here about the MX Sport and we have Digger Bob with his review..

PS Something is not right. They are saying the contest is between Feb. 1st and Feb 29th. Before it always started the next month like March. Here the month is over half over with.

Well I called Grove Ok. and like everything else you get a recording. They still open for business and I left them a message. I've been  by there not too long ago and found only one guy there and I think that's the way it is most of the time.

I've called more than one time to ICMJ and never got a recording.

  8. Hope all made the trip from the old to the new forum. I like when Rob made the change and this looks the same. This is such a great forum and now it's made a big step forward.

For info on new detectors you will find it here. The main reason nobody is making a push to sell their product ( detector ). So here it's not one sided picture you get..

I like all the other forums but I find myself spending more time here.

Thanks Steve for the new look.

  9. I had to go look of the weight each detector and like said the wet one is a pound over the other. Now that's not a lot to deal with. The thing is I'm not getting younger and stronger. So anytime I can trim off any weight I'll last longer in the field detecting. The more time one can spend in the field nugget hunting are coin hunting that's what will put more in your pocket.

Why is it a decision cost you money every time ?Haha I've been told it's only money but this why I don't have any because of decisions'

  10. In all fairness I had to bring the Makro Racer 2 back up to the top .This detector may not be waterproof but it has so much going for it.

Oh I like a detector being waterproof but I know I'm not going be out in the rain detecting. Yes some it will fit the bill for them but I already have one that is waterproof.

Here is another detector that will run all week plus the weekend too. We have come a long way baby as one could say. My first BFO detector had three tubes and you had to have the power to run it.

What I see in this detector and another will not be the price. it's going to be more on what fits your needs and maybe what's easy just  to turn on without putting a strain on the brain. They have keep it simple if that's what you want.

I think they need to have a buy one and get one free.HaHa We could all get together and in this way we could have both in the end.

PS Not one has called me to do testing for them. Oh well !

  11. Okay people I've sit here and watch all of the MX Sport video's . I've come to the conclusion of two things. The first is I don't have a MX Sport yet. The other is being it's so easy on batteries why would I need to spend the money on a recharge system. The truth is I have one already. Twenty hours are more is a long time on one set of batteries.

    Hey Digger Bob

I don't think I've seen the date the MX Sport will hit the market.. So what do you say ?

       Chuck

  12. White's had came out with a simple TDI SL and they couldn't sell it I believe to African.. Then they had it in storage for maybe a year are more. Then they ask Jimmy Sierra if he would sell them. He put his name on it and called it Sierra Pulse Pro ( SPP ) for short. It works great and light weight but loves batteries. Any coil that will work on a GPX Minelab will work on it but oddly not so the other way.

  13. Over the years I've found that depth can be good but not totally always needed. Some of the oldest coins I've found was covered with no more what you would call dust.

Coins can get deeper by someone stepping on it and pushing it down . If the ground is the type that gets big cracks you could find coins down 9 inches are more.

So in my opinion you don't need a detector that will melt the candy bar in your pocket.  Now it is all about what fits your needs not someone else. The only thing I will say is buy the best you can afford. By doing this you will be happy for years with your purchase.

  14. HELP it's raining not just great detectors but super great detectors. We have a company that wants our business and like said they listen to us..

I know dealing with the other half of this company Nokta they will make it right. Anything I say about Makro and Nokta will be all praise. They will always get the best referral one can give from me.

PS Sometimes I need to proof read what I post. ( prize, praise )
