Shelton -- to clarify, you started out in HC, and then switched to LC and changed a few other settings, and as a result, you were able to have better success?

I was start from Fast and Depth audio profile and after that I was switch to LC. I should to use Fast in iron busy place but LC is better for me. It was amazing feeling to start pull masked coins again… one big copper was from corner of site. Believe me I was scan that place about two years with all other brands with different settings and patterns - direction vs target. After that click and I was start to find coins again. Not one but 8 more in 30 minutes. But I need more time with Manticore.

I have exactly the same, I tried with FAST and DEEP audio first in a very heavy iron place. I was switched to LC and switched audio to Enhanced, 1 tone, and Simple modulation! And the place starts to produce targets again!

Sometimes two tones are better than an aggressive pitch... and also I switched to one tone with Manticore... but with D2 pitch was ok for me. But that is personal preference

In iron with D2, I obtained a good effect only with FAST... but I need to try also sensitive.

I was compared to the IAR Relic program with different reactivity settings. With FAST audio is probably better adapted like ENHANCED audio with Manticore. Shorter time? Short delays? I don't know... Maybe. In iron-infested sites that work better for Minelab but we see soon with the next update. Like with The Legend, it could change everything!

Yes LG24 performs very well in iron with lowered filters. Separation is outstanding.

Target separation should be improved... in iron sites. Only the FAST program performs almost well but if I can compare it with Manticore... Minelab is better. In the same place, more finds... on my footprints after two years of hunting at a closed and the same area.

You have a right, but the cross of the target trace is new and Paul confirm it in the comments section.

100% right. Even the sensitivity is too high and we have a nice bad opinion about the device. Time in the field. Nothing more.

That is the question. He was trying to mask it in the movie... also recovery speed was 8... and if you good remember maximum is 7 right now...

That is good to hear. The place is very, very old... and the soil is sand with iron oxidation in it and some debris and forged nails.

Here you have a movie, try to use subtitles for it if not it starts at 13:00 but will be hard without it. Anyway, tiny silver and gold chains - similar - micro jewellery both. The Legend 11 ID - Manticore ID 01... to low... only Low Conductors and Prospecting program... All Metal. That is limit with iron overlap range:

Almost impossible in my place... but I can dig a hole... and remove the top iron oxidation layer (black dirt) - about 20 to 40 cm or more.

We compared The Legend and Manticore on gold chains.... and micro gold - tiny chain lock on Manticore about 01 ID with The Legend 11. We tested it on silver and gold micro chains. Movie soon 😉

I'm hunting on a very old site full of iron. Is not possible to pump GB correctly. Oxidation, halo effects and forget nails with square heads. 

My settings:

Program Low Conductors, recovery 5-6, ferrous limit - upper 6 lower 3, sensitivity 23, long noise cancel for 20 minutes. 

Audio: Enhanced and modulation: Simple - one tone. Disc ON. 

How does it work? 

I get iron falsing but with Enhanced audio is fine. I can east to distinguish what target I get under the coil. If I'm not sure I'm checking on a 2D screen with a 90-degree turn. That way you can easily analyze each target even the iron masked.

That is the simple, an iffy signal after a turn can back to iron or go back to the conduction line. 

Even not easy targets like horseshoes are easy to check. You get a diagonal line across the entire conductance axis from upper right to lower left or a dot in the left low corner if you only half of it...

It depends on the quality - terminals only, but personally, I really hate that idea... why... you can easily short the battery that way by iron debris and a magnetic plug...

I agree 100% I have that same feeling too much noise and you can't to decide dig or not to dig i iron busy places.

Pay and cray operation... anyway....

I have very bad experience with magnetic cables. My laptop was burn - mainboard and it was my fault... because magnetic connector attracted little iron piece... and short circuit happen.
