  1. Dilek, Sorry to bring an old topic back. After spending some time in the surf, I also ask for a mid size 8-9” round concentric coil. The stock coil gets heavy with sand, especially when working in and out of the water. The hollow spokes get packed. Round, fully sealed coils slide through the water with far less drag. Everything else works great. I’m hitting quarters quite deep. The longer middle shaft solved the problem I had with it falling apart. Also the grip has become less slippery in the water after getting roughed up with sand. Thank you for a great detector
  2. Carolyn, I had the same issue. Wish I could be of more help, but the update eventually worked although I’m not sure exactly what I did to make it happen! I do remember finding the bin file in 2 different locations on my computer. I clicked on both. I also extracted from the zip. I am weak on computers, but clicking on everything eventually gave me an upload. 😆 1.07 works great! 4 hunts, 3 gold, lots of clad, very little trash, and a big silver ring today with my kids. (Beach and dirt) Good Luck, keep trying
  3. Hello Dilek, No response via email, so I’ll try here. First off, my Legend has performed very well in the surf/dry sand, and dirt after 2 outings. Three gold pieces thus far (broken ring, earring, pendant). Quarters and dimes very consistent. Ferro check, awesome!!! I cannot think of any new updates at this time. Main issue I have is with the aluminum middle rod and lever lock. It does not hold well in the surf, slips apart when water rushes by and pulls on the coil. (Hawaii) It’s happens twice now. I’m 6’ tall, so after extending the shaft I’m left with about 2-3” overlap. I think the LONGER MIDDLE ROD you offer would help with this problem, but I cannot locate anyone who sells it in the USA. Help Please PS, Also wanted to mention the hollow/open coil spokes get packed with sand making the coil heavy (opposite of lightweight intended design) Thank You
  4. Beach model considerations (Better yet, all around PI detector) 1. GPS no 2. Color no 3. Yes, ok with external cable. However, an internal cable would make it easier to swing the coil in surf. Cable would have to be accessible for preventive care (silicone wipe down). 4. Same sizes mentioned. Triangle shape would be fun to use in tight areas. Ever experiment with one? 5. Waterproof…. One thing that’s a MUST for me. 10 foot rating is fine for surf hunting, BUT, let’s talk in different terms. Anything can be RATED at 10 feet, however, I want to be confident my detector will not leak. I pull stainless WATERPROOF watches out of the surf that are flooded. Rated waterproof, but not built to ensure it. Someone else previously mentioned to concentrate on performance. I second that. Go deep.
  5. If a PI is in the works, might as well offer a Beach Version. With the loss of both White’s Dual Field and Tesoro’s Sand Shark, I no longer have a detector suited for rough surf conditions. My Excal gets beat up pretty bad, requiring constant repair. I have a Legend on the way, but PI depth is what I really need. Wish list from Nokta Makro: 1. Extremely Durable 2. Exceptional Waterproofing 3. Beveled Edge Coil to slice through water 4. Permanently Bonded Coil Protector 5. Single Pushbutton Option for Maximum Depth. Blow our minds with a detector that can claim deepest ever! If it beeps, I’ll dig. 6. Vibration and Waterproof Headphones/Connector 7. LED Flashlight 8. Shaft Connectors that Prevent Sand Intrusion 9. Lightweight 10. Coil Options/Waterproof Connector Thank You
