Jeff and Gary accept the Hawaiian's Challenge !!!!
Tim ( Blue Lead Gold Productions ) and JC (The Minin Hawaiian) have Challenged Jeff (Smithsgold) and Gary ( Two Toe's ) to see who can find the most Gold Nuggets !!! Detector's ready lets get to finding those elusive Gold Nuggets.
Gary and Tim are using there White's TDI's. Jeff is running his White's Gold Master VSat and JC is running his Garrett AT Max.
if you enjoyed the video don't worry I'm hearing talk of a rematch !!!!!
Thanks for watching
Looks like you’re all having a great time other than the heat and poison oak. I had to chuckle when one of the Hawaiian guys was sitting in the poison oak and didn’t know it. I have done that myself with an itchy outcome, hopefully no one came down with poison oak.
Jeff is moving rocks and digging without gloves, he must have well seasoned hands.
I look forward to your next video.Brian.

I wanted an ear bud with volume control so I purchased these Avantree earbuds,
https://avantree.com/e171-over-the-ear-earbuds
however, they only adjust the volume from the source so I returned them, even though they were very comfortable. I wanted ear buds that have volume control for the speakers.
How do you know if the volume control works for the speakers or the source?
Thanks,
Brian

I came across this you tube video of the Apex being “field tested”. After watching the video, it’s not much more than a promotional video, however there are a few areas of interest.

So I was verified today by someone I cant name for obvious reasons that minelab will be anoucing a new pi in May at the ballerat dealers conference whay that pi is is a unknown it could be a new sdc a new gpx or new gpz that we have to wait and see but I'm excited either way and hoping I won't have to sell my house for it
I’m not sure when the dealer conference is or if it already happened, but is there any new information on this topic?
Thanks,Brian

Mitchel, I’d say you did very good considering the beaches have been closed and I’m sure there are others detecting the beach as well. The one time I detected a beach, it was at Lake Tahoe. I used my racer 2 in beach mode as the black sand was driving me nuts, plus I’m a gold nugget guy, beaches were and are still new to me. It was an eye opener for me as I had no idea there were so many man made rusted sharp items lurking beneath the sand. I had a couple people come up to me asking what I had found and when I showed them the rusted sharp items they were grateful and also unaware of what lurks beneath. I was thanked for removing those items and I’m thankful of you for removing sharp rusted items while being rewarded with gold and silver. Keep it up, the gold and silver golds will keep your pockets full and have a great day,
Brian.

I didn’t see square nails on the list. I would bring pounds of square nails so I can lose every single one. Lol

If you want to use your favorite headphones wirelessly with the Vanquish, just get a bluetooth APTX LL receiver/transmitter. They are the size of a matchbox and cost about $30. Plug in any headphones/earbuds that have a 1/8" mini jack or use an adapter to plug in 1/4" plug detecting phones.

Chase, do you notice any additional hum/buzz while using this receiver/transmitter with earbuds?
thanks,

Thanks Reg, I've been thinking about doing that as I use the Quest on my QED and like it, I'm not a big fan of the WM12, the audio drops out a fair bit for a second or two here and there, it's just annoying, the Quest is far more stable.
My audio drops out from time to time as well on the wm12, yes annoying. I thought it was just my machine, or now it’s our machines. I have even tried switching channels, but always the same result. I’ll need to look in to the Quest. Take care,
Brian.

Great gold finds and story Lucky. It sure was a nice surprise seeing you and your crew in the great big desert. Until the next adventure, take care

Very sad news, I chatted with Fred a few times via this forum. A great knowledgeable man and he will be missed.

I really enjoyed your detailed video Chris, thank you. For the little quartz and gold rocks I’m able to locate, I use a dolly pot and yes you are right, my hands get really sore after awhile, but it is sure fun making buttons.

Thanks Clark, I believe you when you say the shovel end moves the dirt. I had my apex extreme modified to move dirt. I found the extreme was just too heavy as a patch hunting pick so I thought, why not and modified it. My go to pick now and for the past few years has become the pick made by Roguehoe, super strong metal and lightweight for all day detecting, but can dig the deep 7000 holes with no issues. It just needs a longer point in the front. Have a great day,
Brian.

I’m not familiar wit the Leland, this ones an Apex Talon Extreme it originally came wit a 36” handle that just like JW said was a problem launching me off cliffs sort of so I cut it short but out in the desert I’m up and down on my knees too much and think this will be better, everything’s a trade off so now I carry three or four different picks, one tiny Apex, A monster I bought a a club meet it’s a bit heavy but digs really fast and another I bought at the club outing with a reversed shovel blade and long spike I like.
Clark, I would like to see a picture when you have time of the reversed shovel blade with the long spike please.
thanks,Brian.

Thanks again for the help! Yeah, I've checked my connections multiple times, the pins seem to be in good shape too. But no change in the outcome unfortunately. I'm going to give Kellyco a call in the morning and see what they can figure out. Sucks it's only been out of the box for about 4 hours and didnt get to swing it once. But, bound to get a bad apple here and there. Thanks again guys.
Greg
Greg, if your able to, perhaps making a quick video and uploading it of what your doing and seeing may further diagnose the issue. Just a thought.

I believe since this detector is being introduced as an entry level detector, Makro/Nokta would rather a user upgrade rather than modify, with the idea the user will stay within the brand.

For me, Audio "A" is a definite target. Audio "B", I may not boot scrape. Eventually, I hope you share which coil was used on Audio"B" for reference. Thank you JP.

Any update on the Minor John skid plate vs stock? I know this is a real old thread but I am in the market for a new cover. Wore the stock cover out in a little over 2 years.
I have been using the Miner John cover for a few years now. I am very satisfied with my purchase and I would buy another. It will definitely hold up longer as it is thicker and more rigid than the original.
I see that Rob shows out of stock on his website, perhaps others may have some on hand. Not sure if Miner John is back in business yet.

Congratulations, nicely done.

I too hope to be mining for 30 + years....lol

Nicely done JP! In the Nevada desert, we dont have the humidity to worry about, usually, just the hot sun light. So I understand the benefit of a cloudy day.
