You can use line of sight from the structure to the well. Look at where the pipes and wires enter the structure Dig a long progressively deep cut in the ground perpendicular until you find them. Then just follow them out.

Could have just named it the Equinox 1000. Or 1500 according to its price tag.

I'm definitely pre ordering one or two now. But can it core a apple?

I was thinking that it could be new or improved. Not new and improved. I sent mine back for repair and it was just improved. It was new already 🤪

Isn't power regulated by the FCC? Maybe we could go to 1000% and get a metal detector license!
I bought Dawn dishwashing soap and it was 100% better than no soap!

Yeah, the old machines certainly lack depth. Those coins were probably 4" max and dug plenty of trash with it! Still silver around East Tennessee too. I was lucky enough to grab a couple mercs and a barber dime in the backyard. Dug the most silver back in NJ before the park mom's complained and had to stop even though I was very conscious about leaving the area look untouched. I like your writings about the legend. Happy hunting Jeff!

I find the same things with my treasure pro set to high trash in the red soil of TN. 99% of all detectorists don't need a detector more than a couple hundred bucks or multi frequency. People like to buy what they think to be the latest and greatest only to realize you never know until you dig. Look at all the people that buy 20 dollar coin probes when a screwdriver does the exact same thing. My 1st wife was great until I met my second one! An bit later I realized could have stayed with the 1st one because she did the same thing cheaper!

Chase is correct! I've found more treasure with a Compadre than with any detector over 100 bucks! I wonder how much you lose when you don't dig. And if it breaks I'll throw it out and find another used one.

Nope. I had the latest version 15 years ago and checked often for updates. You would have to send it in for updates anyway and you're sol on that one. I liked my machine but it became too heavy for me. Good Luck hunting!

Well, here's an update. The owner messaged me that just today he happened to be in the backyard and noticed that every single plug I dug had been torn out and the hole underneath dug down to several inches. Evidently an enterprising raccoon or skunk smelled grubs & worms. Of course I'll be heading over there tomorrow to fix it all up. Any suggestions on how to avoid this in future? I'm not sure he'll have me back after this 😬
Odd, but that has happened to me also.

I want one but not for that high price. Get a Legend and ignore the screen.

More stable ID's being one thing, the more targets that fall into one ID the more stable the ID's will appear.
Wouldn't more junk targets be lumped in with good targets with a compressed scale. I'm used to the Whites -90 +90 VDI scale.

I'm so happy I'm waiting on a new machine!

Well did you get the machine? We want to hear all about it!

I think that all this work to take care of your battery probably doesn't change the amount of time or performance through the life of the battery anyway. Nobody has mentioned any performance or longevity % difference in these procedures. I'm not going to obsess over a battery that I can replace. I just use a commercial battery charger/conditioner or the factory battery advice and never noticed any problems with batteries. My 5 year old chromebook battery stays plugged in 24/7 and still has a 10 hr battery life. Damn my lawnmower battery lasted 10 years without any maintenance. IMHO have fun with your metal detector find cool stuff.

Microsoft does it all the time!

I like the digging tool!

With the recent freezing developments in D2 I'm in no rush to buy one now, or a Legend for a few months. I'll let someone else beta test for me. Not in and rush to be sending things back and forth for fixes.

Maybe do not let the remote boot fully if the coil is out of range.

believe it or notyou don't always "need" to go deep to find good stuff!
tesoros will "grab" silver all day long with disc. set high! outrageous in iron, and
to cherry pick with! get one that balances out the ground and have at it! the 180 disc. and
small concentric will do the rest! still a ton of stuff in the "junk!" go low and slow!
(h.h.!)
j.t.These were 2" down in Tennessee red clay. Everyone is obsessed with depth. Buy a backhoe! The larger the coin the slower it will sink due to its surface area. In face they can rise on occasion. I regret selling my Silver Saber Umax. And my Bandito. I still have a Compadre which I use often for curb strips.

Sold My E800 and Simplex to save up for a Deus II. Took out my old Whites Treasure Pro, set to high trash with sens all the way up and found these in the backyard! Sometimes simple is a good thing. Dead quiet except for these dimes and memorial pennies. Got a 1950 Quarter the other day and another Merc too.

1st day out to the beach with the legend.
Setup:
- Beach
- Multi - wet
- Ground Tracking ground balance
- Stability 1 up to 5 - I tried a few
- Sensitivity - 20 to 25
- Noise Cancel
- Recovery speed - varied - I tried a few
- 1-10 notched out
The main issue I'm having is that I get misc non-repeatable chirps that show an ID on the screen. Actual targets are more of a good tone. The VDI for the chirps ranges from the 20s to the 40s.
I need a lot more work with the unit. I think eventually I'll realize those chirps are just chatter. I don't want to turn the sensitivity down too much and miss targets.
Anyone else getting misc. chirps in the "good" target range?
I'm thinking all metal detectors chirp, pop, buzzz or some sort of noise that makes you look!
