Its the same as before. Menu->freq->+/- You could still do custom programs in slots next together with identical settings besides freq like some have in the past for simple +/- button to cross check. Thanks for some low conductor testing ideas. It's definitely not my forte.

So I'm not a gold prospector and don't have gold around. I do have a gram of gold of small pickers my son and I panned for fun. What kind of test do you want to see done with the HF coil? As a coin/park hunter and a few hours hunting with the new HF today I can definitely say it's not for me. The lowest frequency isn't low enough to avoid the deus' affinity for calling aluminum/canslaw coins. I typically use 8k or 12k. The lowest on the new coils is ~13.3k - 15.6k. The higher frequencies absolutely slam low conductors. Nickel ID is 66 on 15k, 80 on 30k, and 87 on 55k. zinc and higher is crammed in the 95-98 id range on the highest freq. So great for micro jewelry hunters and prospectors. I've started some vids on youtube with the same user but won't link since it could be viewed as advertising.

The XY is most beneficial to coin shooters/ring finders in trashy parks IMO. Which is a welcomed improvement. Yes, I know it was there before but its implemented far better now. I'm sure it's still not as good at identification as an FBS machine but then again nothing is. I wouldn't expect relic hunters or gold prospectors to use XY.

I didn't realize they made the XY screen a standard option and added ID and ground Numbers to the screen. This is the best V4 addition IMO. Pin Pointer looks very impressive as well with or without a Deus.

Well I did get it back yesterday and whatever update they are on now it pretty dialed in. It's a shame it's a heavy breast at 1.7 oz more than my etrac. Performance is top shelf now. But I'm too soured to care.

I wouldn't trust Guvner's explaination. I was a sponsor before. Decided to not renew and stated as such. Few months go buy and I wasn't removed from sponsor list. He emailed and said he forgot and asked again to renew and I stated again I was not renewing. This time my user which had years of pre-dealer posts was removed and he made a post stating I hadn't paid my bill for months. Now read the Tesoro post again with this knowledge. That is all.

Same distributor, same exact issues minus the cracks on mine. Will be back Monday after nearly 3 week hiatus. hopefully it works and isn't cracked. :(

Wish dealers got this kind of cross ship service instead of having units/cash tied up traveling to and from Sweet Home for vacation instead of being able to be used or sold. :(

I called a few hours ago and will get it updated. That's just the one that I plan on evaluating. Others...it's just a crap shoot for the dealer and the consumer. Do you open the seal and still sell as new/used/demo? Open it up and if not updated send in to update and then sell as new? demo? used? Sell as new and sealed and have the customer deal with it if they notice... maybe they wont? This last one is from White's the one option I'm absolutely against and pretty sad it was even suggested. Sadly, I'm thinking get them all updated if need and just clear them out. Just avoid the MX Sport for another 6 months. The silver lining is White's support and service is second to none and always makes it right and then some. Hopefully this is just a growing pain as the design direction of machines is improving for sure. White's isn't the only manufacture that has some issues. I set the bar very high for my own level of service and products, but we can all fail at times.

I posted here because White's is following this thread as well as consumers/users. Perhaps this could help them and their distribution chain communication. Also, they are just now open in the last hour or so I thought I may get some insight sooner posting. I purposely waited a couple months to add the line in hopes all units would now be current in all distribution channels but no...not the case. Sigh...

I'm a multi-line dealer that just added whites. I was told the mx sports i ordered were latest firmware. However, the one i just opened to demo only has 6 sat and pin point volume to only about 6" depth. This seems like its not current. How is a dealer to know the detectors he or she sells is as advertised? This is very discouraging.
