Interesting.  Was that the only part of the park that you hunted, or did you check other parts and find them barren?  I'm constantly trying to learn more about site reading which is why I ask.

No I hunted the majority of the park, this was the only section that produced heavily. Very little came from where the vintage playground equipment was. All the playground equipment had been there since the early 60s. The spot that produced the most, was just out in the open nothing in particular about it.

Quite a week you had!  Looks like you found a 1960's carnival/fair site, with the Roosie/Merc ratio being that high.  Mine (which are from many sites) is in the other direction -- that is, considerably more Mercs than Roosies.

    What are the two tokens?

I was hunting an old city park that dated back to the thirties and forties. The barbers all came from an area across from the train depot in the same town. One of the tokens is an Oklahoma tax token, the other one I can't quite make it out until I get home to clean it. Everything came from a small area about 30 to 40 foot wide by 150 foot long

    Impressive hunting Dan.

Congrats on all that silver, relics and wheats !!!!!

I rarely see so many good finds posted from a road trip.

Lol....it's a roll of the dice, I certainly was second guessing myself in the beginning. You never know how it's going to play out.

I thought this was interesting.  I've noticed that a U.S. silver dime will TID spot on at 25 when either air testing or when at shallow depths.  BUT as the coin gets deeper, the TID goes up.  I've seen anywhere from 27-32, the deeper the higher.

This phenomenon along with the additional modulated audio at depth, and frequently loss of pinpointing, will almost always result in a deep (9" or deeper) squeaker silver coin for me.   Once I understood this pattern, I'm personally okay with that, I actually even prefer it that way because when I get a target with these conditions I have a fairly high confidence it's going to be a silver coin at good depth (I've observed similar results on deep silver quarters as well).

Are others observing the same phenomenon?

Disclaimer: Almost all of my hunt time (none lately due to C-19 SIP restrictions) is dedicated to relic hunting environs.

I've come across this on deep, at the fringe of detection targets, not just coins. I've dug 3 ringers over 9" that registered  between 33-38 at an 1850 fort site. The first time it happened I was quite surprised to see a piece of lead read so high.  The first time it happened was on a 9.5"  silver dime using the 15" coil, my first thought was I was about to dig a rusty nail.

Hopefully someone can help me. I have an Equinox 600 that I can pair my earbuds to but I hear no sound. The earbuds are paired as Bluetooth + as indicated on the machine. I have tried other earbuds with the same problem. I have reset the machine multiple times. I am using Soundpeats Q12HD earbuds. I am at a loss. Thanks

I sent mine back, I had the same problem..paired up, showed the plus sign, but no audio on the Nox. Paired them to my phone and computer and had audio no problem.  My Nox paired up just fine with my other pair of Q-12's(not HD's) the problem isn't with the machine.

    Awesome Dan!!

I strongly believe in "Detecting Intuition! And i think you just did a one-off!

Finding like pieces on one site is rare enough! Let alone two seperate locations on the same day! Amazing!!

Go get the lottery tickets this week!!👍👍

I'm a firm believer in "Detecting Intuition"  I've had many a situation that has lead me to know it's a fact, something mystical almost.

Nice finds!  Beats the heck out of my nickel 5 cent piece sunbaker I found this afternoon on my walk.  😁

The color of that circular stone seems unusual to my eye.  My wife would be snarfing those up if I had found them.  She much prefers silver to gold, and turquoise stones in particular.

Lol... All the jewelry I find is filtered through my wife's hands. It is a very vivid color.

Update:  I tested the new 5.0 version of the Trond BT- DUO module and it connects as APTX LL (+ symbol) and fortunately was not defective like Dan's.  It's a keeper for me.

Chase, I received a new one and it works, APTX LL in TR and RX, also bought a Trond 5.0 BT DUO II, same results + symbol in both modes.

NICE digs, Dan!  You have FAR more patience than I do!  🙂  But, it's paying off for you, with some nice keepers, no doubt about it.

    NICE!

    Steve

    Thank you Steve.

It's one thing when you hunting a certain site to "hope" there's something good to be found and "knowing" something worthwhile will be found. I've hunted this type of place back in the early 90's and found a ton of jewelry, I was the first one to hit that swimming hole. I had no idea what masking was or the idea of a fast recovery machine. I'm sure I left more gold rings than I found  😞

I don't mind cleaning the trash out, because the payoff is going to be big at some point.

Nice hunt Dan. You sure went through the garbage for those necklaces. All keepers makes it worth the effort.

Do you hunt primarily in 2 tones?

What is your tone pitch set at?

I've never hunted in or near the water  although I'm surrounded by it.

Thank you. I hunt in 2 tones 99% of the time. I have my pitch set at 25 for what I want to dig and 1 for what I'm going to pass on. To me, it's the challenge of wading thru the garbage for a keeper or two. It's a lot of work, but very satisfying in a weird sort of way. 🙂

Managed to run this test, finally.  Unfortunately my results with the BT 4.1 version units duplicated yours.  For some unfathomable reason, the units do not receive in APTX LL mode even though they transmit in APTX LL mode.  So much for these little guys being a poor man's substitute for the WM08.  This despite the following statement in the product description:

APTX & APTX LOW LATENCY. Powered by premium CSR8670 chipset, TROND BT-DUO supports aptX & aptX Low Latency in both TX and RX mode. You can watch movies while listening to wireless audio in a synchronized fashion and without any noticeable audio delay.

    SMH.

I bought a Trond BT Duo 5.0 Bluetooth TR/RX, paired with Nox showing the + symbol. Unfortunately, the devise is defective and there's no audio and the battery dies after 15 minutes. I had to get a refund on it and have a Trond BT Duo S and a Trond BT Duo II on the way. I'll post my result when I can. If it works, it would be a very affordable way for Nox 600 users to have a way to run bluetooth.

I ordered this (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01B4W40VC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_HyqhEbFYDR1FS ) back in December, and it works as a receiver and transmitter. My son used it on a Teknetics G2 with the Minelab headphones that came with the 800. Paired up well with no noticable lag. In fact, he found his first gold ring ever using it. He never liked having wires in the way and found the Bluetooth connection to be far better. FWIW, he was digging the lower signals in the pulltab and nickel range as instructed; he got paid for listening well. I was so happy that he found it and not me. Nothing like finding that first gold ring!

Good job on being a good teacher and congrats to your son for listening to dad. Sometimes we do know what we're talking about 😉

I am still going to test the 4.2 units in receive mode with the EQX because I always thought I could use them as a compact LL alternative receiver instead of the WM08 which is a tad bulkier (my idea was to attach them to an NDT GG headset using a short patch cord as a self-contained home-brew converted wireless headset).  Sounds like that may not be an option.  I'll report back to verify whether the 4.2 units are behaving differently than the 5.0 units in receive mode.

That was something that I also considered in case my WM 08 went belly-up.. It would be a very affordable alternative for someone that had a 600 as well. I'll be interested in your results.
