Wow Dan, thatย was a good one. ๐Looks like you carpet bombed the place ๐ Guess that will all be gone if the lake ever comes back. Nice silver haul!
Thank you. One good rainy season and the lake will be back to it's normal level. I'll take as much out as possible until then. Hardly anyone is coming here, except the fishermen. It's a very peaceful place to hunt and it appears I'm the only one hunting here.

Great job on the hunt, and I really like the hook pendant.
Thanks for keeping all that lead from the fish, it seems if they had more of it they could be writing with their tails.
Good luck on your next hunt.
Thanks Valen!

Got into a nice little hot spot at a local lake that I call Lead Lake. I was running the Deus 2 and digging everything from 25 and up. I've dug almost 60lbs of lead weights there since January of this year. I dug a lot of holes with trash, as usual, but, I did end up with four possibly five pieces of silver jewelry. I have to do some extra cleaning to verify if the broken ring is silver or not. The little cross pendant is a nice little James Avery piece. I think it's ironic that I found a silver fishing hook pendant here lol. The Universe has a warped sense of humor

Nice piece to end the month on, congrats!!

Nice recovery, thanks for posting the VDI numbers for the ring.

Way to fight through the pain, Dan, and congrats on the silver, well done!ย ๐
I hate to be the one that posts this part, but GE, GP, or HGE stamps on jewelry usually mean gold plated, but there is gold on the ring none the less.ย ๐
Thank you. I googled the inscription as soon as I saw it and knew that I had a gold electroplated ring. I guess it's better than 100% junker ;)

I'm going to try it on a hunt this weekend before subscribing.

Funny you should sat that. 2 days ago I dug a 114 gram stainless steel bracelet. I was getting a 85 solid, dug the hole and out pop a huge bracelet. Scanned the bracelet and it read 6 with a low iron grunt, scanned the hole again and took out a lead weight lol.

Thanks Dan,
Shame I can't use it much but installed it anyway. Looks good. I'm afraid it might be a bit too "social media" for me but we will see. ๐
I'll give it shot next time go out. I never used the GPS on my CTX, this may be more time consuming than it's worth. Some of the places I hunt don't have cell service.

I did more cleaning on the ring. It's marked 18K GE S/A inside the band. The flaking was clay staining.

The map is showing my property with faint outlines of my house and the outbuildings. I can see my approximate location where I'm sitting in my house, nice!!

Yeah ,the ring looks nice for bling !ย
It sure is Lead Lake ! wow . I'm getting sore just thinking about carrying that pile !ย
But I'd dig 'em all too .ย For possible yellow and to get it all out of the lake .
The bracelet links look BEEFYย ๐ฅธ
ย
I was convinced I had gold when I first saw it. I got the magnifying glass out and knew at once it was a junker ๐

Whoa Dan! ๐ณ
I'd say you're a stickler for punishment rather than a glutton ๐ guess you just have to dig all that lead to get a couple keepers. ๐ต Regardless, that's a heckuva silver bracelet and I'd check that ring carefully for hallmarks. ๐ค Congrats!
Thank you F350. I have come to accept digging crap is the price I have to pay at these lake sites lol. The lead sounds so good at 24 khz max.ย The ring was flaking on the side and inside, a bit of a let down.

Short 3-hour hunt at lead lake, dug over 100 pieces of lead LOL. I did manage to find a nice sterling silver bracelet along with a junk ring. The ring was maybe 18" from the bracelet, it had me fooled at first.ย ย Running the XP D2... 9" coil.. modified Gen Mode.... 3 Tones.. Sens 97... Reactivity 2... Audio Response 5... Disc 9.4... Digging from 25 and up.ย Loving having the MI 6 paired to theย WSA II - XL headphones.

Perfect music for the video.ย Thanks for posting, I love seeing exposed earth around water.

Nice work thats a lot of targets...well earned rings. I have a place that produces a lot of lead weights but not nearly that much and most of them are several ounces..
strick
Thanks Strick, so far, from this spot,ย I've taken out 55lbs of lead since Jan of this year lol.

Thank you, I'm not sure I want to go through that again anytime soon ๐

Thank you. The hunters around here don't seem to care about hunting around water for some reason. If they're hunting, they're not hunting for jewelry ๐
