Yes, Nox 600/800 was a paradigm shift for ML as it brought relatively affordable, premium Simultaneous MF to the masses back in 2018. It was a game changer in terms of value (superior performance at reasonable cost).

However that really didn't set ML on a path to be a leader in affordable, capable detectors going forward despite increased pressure from competitors of late (Garrett, Nokta, XP, and now Quest).

The revamped Nox 700/900 (arguably what Nox should have been when released 5 years ago) was priced higher than the legacy Nox 600/800 and that was AFTER ML RAISED the price on the Nox 800 by $100US 4 years after release.   

The Manticore improves on some of Nox's features and adds a 2 D display but is the debateable incremental improvement in performance with a physical/ergonomic design equivalent to the Nox 900 worth the $600 premium over the Nox 900?

Now they are getting ready to release a multiple selectable frequency machine (Xterra Pro) that doesn't appear to be poised to come in under the SMF Nokta Legend price point.

I have not seen ANY ML answer to the Garrett Axiom and don't expect to any time soon since it's only been about a year plus since the GPX 6000 PI was released in the US at a price about $2K US more than the Axiom.

So really, I am not understanding your point.

The 6000 has just dropped 25% of its price and it's only been a year since its arrival.  When have you ever gotten a high end price reduction on a newly released detector?  I think never

we are seeing a big price reduction in Minelab than we are not used to, we are seeing it in beginner detectors to compete with nokta as well as in the high end with the introduction of the axiom.  I don't know what will happen when Nokta presents its pulse detector.  Welcome be the competition

if the vanquish coils had been equinox compatible I would have bought a 540 pro long ago and I imagine almost all nox users would have done the same.  How many sales have they lost because of the happy chip

If that's the price I don't think they sell many Xterras with the equinox 600. I figured the price would be around 400 to compete with the simplex.  I don't understand this play by minelab., it doesn't make sense to get this detector and even less at that price

looks like it was real.  it looked pretty good for it to be fake.  According to Minelab, the multifrequency was going to make the single frequency obsolete.  And now they come out with this?

I use a small low latency aptx bluetooth transmitter at 5000 and I use these headphones which sounds very good and where I live we also reach 44 or 45 degrees and for the heat they are perfect

I sold my explorer 2 shortly after buying the equinox.  I have extracted more gold with that machine than with all the detectors combined that I have had.  It was heavy after several hours detecting but it was a magnet for gold.  when did i sell it

i forgot to say it was for use on a gox 5000. i would like to know if there is much difference in depth and nugget size that can be picked up with this coiltek coil compared to nugget finder's Sadie 8 x 6

Can someone give me some information about this coil?  I have seen a new one but I don't see much information about it on Youtube.

Competition is always good for the end customer.  It has always been said that minelab inflated the prices of its rights since they have not had real competition.  Here we have the proof, hopefully this will change from now on, thanks to Garrett and soon with nokta with his gold detector

the handle is made of aeronautical aluminum.  They were going to throw out a batch of one piece due to tolerance failure and I may have some left over to make the handle

yesterday was the first hunt of the year.  the tide was out at 8:30 in the morning so I had to get up early since the beach is more than 2 hours driving.  The beach was not in the best condition, but at least I had a little fun.  Let's hope that gold comes out next time
