Well drywashing is out for me then it sounds like. Well at least maybe all the pesky flying critters will be washed out also. Thanks for the info guys.

I had been using my sdc in water on muddy sandy bottom and had alot crap under my cover also, wonder if that new gutter seal in a can would seal coils up,anyone used this sealant yet, cant remember what the name was, even seal a hole in your boat

I had a sand problem withTDI a couple of years ago, we took a boat out to a spot in the rain off the oregon coast went through some quicksand when we got out of the boat carrying all our gear to hard ground. I had the TDI covered up good i thought till i got home after the hunt, i heard something rattling inside of it so i took the housing off and found a small screw had come loose. Im glad i did because it had gotten quite a bit of sand inside. I thought i had been pretty careful running it covered in the rain. Sand seems to be able to work its way into everything. Thank god i didnt toast it because it was probably wet sand.

Going to finally get a gold trip in last week of Oct, hopefully, i heard that area got some good rains recently, just wondering what you guys that have been near winnemucca think about bringing my drywasher ,is the ground still too damp. I heard they had 2 storms that dumped 1/2 of rain each one.

Whites needs to catch up for sure. Sorry Klunker didnt catch the 38%?

Yea paul the old gold bug ran 19 khz. Didnt it.

Bado 1,yea i run my sdc with very little threshold also, but good headphones really help. Maybe not the deepest running machine for the money but if your looking for specimen gold or porous it works for me.
I have found some nice spongy gold fairly deep running very quiet, couldnt have heard them without headphones though,my ears are bad also.

Nice pieces, can i ask where you were you running the sdc at on bedrock Calmark?

We had an experience with some type of biting bug out of winnemucca a couple years back, they were so small you couldn't see them. They would get in your nose ears anything exposed and bite and leave itchy bumps. We tried several bug sprays, anything we could think of,nothing held them off. One of the locals,
said they were chiggers that came in from the black rock desert in the wind. The wind had been blowing steady and had been carrying a huge amount of sand with it you could see hundreds of feet high for a couple days. The bites on my brotherinlaw and i went away in a couple weeks, but my sister had her feet and lower legs exposed to them and ended up with bad reaction over several weeks to these,it was pretty serious. These critters dont look like the bugs that are infesting the area of burning man.
Anyone else have this experience in the area? May have to get a alaskan mosquito suit if it happens again, it can sure ruin an planned outing.

That amazes me how well the Gpz can find targets like that nice one.
-
Really looking forward to the picture to go with the story,i think everyone has walked on a target at some point that they always will regret,i know i have.
-
Yea the gorilla glue works great on my new pic handle a few months back i did the same. I use it on splitting maul handles also, good stuff
-
Very nice pieces, california gold?
-
Nice finds and cool greenhouse.

Yea anytime you can get rid of an extra cable or two im all for it. I did like the sound off of SDC its pretty sharp and clear should work great, thanks again.

Ivansgarage, i bought the same transmitter and headphones, they work great, i tested the wireless out on GB2,SDC,andTDI. Real good sound. I used them in the wind and was surprised how well they worked.
i also tried them on DFX there was a little noticeable lag with it but not enough to be a problem. Thanks for the info earlier. They work well with my tablet also. Rick
How Do You Deal With Claim Jumpers?

I just was wondering if some of you have had these problems on claim sometimes. We have had lots of lead around ,thats gonna happen but when they shoot inside of small digs with shotguns and 22s they very well know what it does to ALL prospecting methods.I have found many pieces of detectable stuff
stuffed inside of small place's just too throw detectors off. Our claim has seem many of these including
the guy that digs out a deep target (assuming ) then burys the hole half way back up with big lead in hole,
laughing the whole time hes doing it. It is someone pretty knowledgeable about detecting. Last time i went too claim this had happened near one of my big nugget producing areas,it really gets adrenadrenaline flowing. I would really like to catch this guy it is just a slap in the face and he knows it .,I have been collecting a few clues maybe catch them someday. We know they have pulled gold here and they will be back. We do have a few people who watch claims occasionally but this is gonna happen.
Just wondering if any of you have had this happen and maybe some ideas. Rick
