Did anyone ever find the minelab buckle and hook #8005-0080 ,strap that steve showed in feb?
We also were told at minelab they couldnt find it. We know someone makes these for them, maybe the company that makes their harness, accessory bags, bugee cords. Maybe this is a secret. Rick

Hey steve, it wont take you long to get this machine,i remember who taught me everything i know....
You know to me it reminds me an awful lot of my TDI the way it sounds. Just have to slow down is about it. They definitely like pourus gold. Steve and Chris had good luck on their pourus gold also with 2300s. Hope we can get down there before it gets hot and the MOHAVE snakes come out to visit us AGAIN. Later Rick.

Thanks guys. Featherdfishhead glad to hear you have noticed the sdc on small targets acting like mine.
at first i thought i was swinging a little to fast. Its almost like after a few swings over target it keeps a bit of current in it. Good luck easter weekend, your son may kick your butt with his lonestar.

This was my first after gold, used it 1 other time in January at a small park in edge of water and found some coins and 1 ring just to try it out. Pretty sweet detectors. Rick

Yea im waiting to get my booster, that should help also. I have a question with small targets, when you first hear a change in the threshold it seems to me that if you sweep a few more times it will then come in a little louder and hold it louder each pass thereafter, is it my imagination or does it hold a little charge beetween passes?

Hi reg like your idea of the DD COIL your playing with im going to keep my old TDI because there is so much you can do with this detector. Like to hear some in ground tests sometime.

Professor, sounds like you deserved this machine for sure, very nice of paul. Someone keep track of that serial# on mxt it could be in the history books in 100 years
-
Steve what was your oldest coin there,do you recall, mine was only 1950's
i just thought the salt ate the older ones. Also have you kept track of how many rings you found while in Hawaii?
-
Good job on the beach cleaning,i noticed the coins i dug there started decaying sooner than other beaches
or is it typical?

Ordered your book today Ray,thanks. RICK

Looks like its almost an electro magnet, that could be handy to clean your ground . Flip a switch then drop your nail in the bucket, you shouldn't need the magnetic rake steve or maybe the magnetic field is actually pushing away the steel like two magnets reversed. Wow. Rick.

Could try an empty jug like a purex jug,cut it off at a 45°angle and use the top 1/2 holding the handle just cut a few holes in it for sand to get out. I use these for scooping floor dry, dogfood, sidewalk deicer, etc.minus the holes of course, good luck,i only detected over there one time it was a blast. Rick.

Excellent rest of the story, sounds like steve was in a dream that just kept getting better.
That was a very good example of the 7000 in that type of gold for sure.and the 2300 also. I have a grin on my face that will be with me for a while. Sneaky feller isnt he? Paul harvey would be proud.

I can understand what your saying about people and new technology steve, my thinking is say my neighbor won the lottery he has tried to find gold recently with say a ATX but didnt have any help or training but he was in gold ground and never found anything so now he thinks the new 7000 he heard about is the ticket, he's thinking smart now invest in 4 7000s for the two klds wife and himself , this will pay off now he thinks. He has invested their money wisely, only spent with the extras $38.000 after getting all the gear he needs to compliment his investment. Then he buys their own gold claim for $382,000 because he got some inside information no one else heard about yet, he's set up now.
Long story short they have a very miserable time at it for 6 months, they found 1.5 oz.gold in their new venture they have spent now most of their lottery money and sell out for pennies on the dollar.
What im getting at it is no different than most of us without the real knowledge to begin with to take on something your really not familiar with to this extreme without the many many days of experience to say the least. Kinda like me winning the lottery and buying a nascar to win with, just not gonna happen..
I have seen guys want to get into gold in a big way with no knowledge whatsoever and im sure you guys have to, it is the person that will make or break himself with whatever he is using and the way he is going about it for sure. I know what your saying steve. Rick

Very nice bearcat, few more years you can retire huh? If you can still dredge by then in oregon.

Hi doc, how much for the b&z booster? Rick
-
Well put steve,my theory is we have a lot of ground to cover that the 2300s havent been over yet as you well know,if and when we get this area cleaned up i think minelab will have another hotrod on the market by then. So maybe then with profits from sdc i can get the used 7000 for the price i paid for sdc in the first place. Then we can go over the same ground again with the 7000.for the depth on virgin cleaned up area. Hell of a theory, thats my plan and im sticking to it. By the wayi heard all the 7000 buyers also bought longer pic's and some small backhoes. Rick

Thanks teach, good lesson. You had me going.
