  1. Merton,

I too have had the same problems. You have to notch about everything to quiet it down. I have found a little gold with it,but only near mild bedrock. IDK where Klunker took you in the past couple days. But seems to me,everything in this county is hot ground. I just don't see much use using a VLF looking for gold around here. I did get the douche to run fairly quiet near Rye Patch.

BTW. I stopped by Klunkers shop on Friday afternoon to say hello. But I guess you guys were still out in the fields.  :)

  2. Paul. My GPAA group in Reno is doing this. We have taught close to 2000 youngsters how to detect. It is a great experience to see a kid find a few coins with a detector. Anyone feel free to attend or volunteer. Or contact me for more details.

    1) Explore the Outdoors

    Saturday, April 18th

    10a – 3p

    Rancho San Rafael Regional Park

For the Explore the Outdoor event we will not be doing GOLD PANNING as the park removed the panning flume. We will instead be partnering with Reno Detecting and Prospecting group to put on metal detecting event.
