    No problem for me
    anyone can ask questions ..

Thank you sir for replying to my observations (comments) and am glad you were not offended by them. My comments on the Tarsacci and CTX were only in relation to the reactivity. I acknowledge that FBS technology has been around a long time and yes the TDI a PI is deeper. At the present time I use the Tarsacci as it suits my needs and is deep also. I see my observation on the port ventral were correct, and I meant no harm, again only a observation. At 4.5 lbs 1/2 lb lighter than the CTX I would enjoy that style maybe a pelican case for the controls. Again I meant no harm and do enjoy your’s and Rick’s post’s on your adventures, your testing and updates on the ImPulse. Without them we would all be in the dark.

It seems to me that if there is any hesitation at all regarding the detector or suspicion regarding the sources of the information then simply waiting for as many months as a person wants after the machine is released for third party reports would be the reasonable solution. The general idea is that the forum exists for people who are hoping to get information, and not shut down contributors of information as has been the norm on other forums. If people don't like the information that anyone is presenting, the forum offers a feature for blocking other users.

How To Ignore Users On The Forum

Well if this is aimed at me, then I would say nothing I said is false. I made no personal attack as on the other forum you reference, only observations. If my comments were taken as negative comments I’m sorry they were not meant to be. That does bring up an interesting thought though. Only positive comments allowed, no room for discussion or debate on this forum ? I thought this was a forum for discussion which leads to information and knowledge. And as far as your blocking comment, doesn’t it work both ways? Maybe block me if my comments seem off  line. Again I’m sorry if I offended anyone, not sure how many times it needs to be said.

  3. My point is my CTX and my Tarsacci can duplicate that test and at even greater distance. I realize this is a air test but there is little distance from coil to target before fading out. I would guess the sensitivity is dialed back hence the quite background. Even there nail bed test demo with the gold ring. After 10” max the ring signal fades out. I did however see LE JAG dig some deep targets but it was strange as I swear I saw a shaft with a handle and no housing. Like it was belt mounted. Never saw the control box. I’m not trying to cause trouble, just lots of strange things with this roll out and videos etc. I’m just one man so don’t anybody get mad and leave the forum on my account. My comments have little worth.

That would make sense if they were made and shipped to order, not if they made 100 and boxed them up in a store room waiting for sale and just grabbed any box out of the pile when an order is placed.  Either way it looks like the number sold is possibly under 100 and a few owners are second hand units too even though such a small number possibly made.

I hope they turn out to be a good detector and have great success, although with the pending release of the Fisher....

Some guy went on a NZ prospecting forum and tried to promote them saying they've made a special coil for NZ conditions for the detector which put a bad taste in my mouth knowing it was a lie.  Not sure if he's associated with them or not, I hope not.

I too have not heard of a NZ coil. I’m surprised Dew had no mention of this also. I too have had great service from Dimitar in regards to a couple minor issues inflicted by myself. I tightened the battery cap to tight and stripped the threads on the cap. I received a replacement almost instantly. I have 6 months left on my warranty but if the past year is any indication of the detectors build quality, it will not matter if it runs out. Seems to be built very well. On the issue of coils, I just feel my hands are tied when hunting with my friends using the ever so popular Equinox and the CTX, when in the wash and damp sand. In the water the stock coil is fine. It just does not seem right to pay $1500.00 + for a detector that has no choice of optional coils. On this subject I have worn my welcome out with Dimitar as now he will not answer my text, haha. I am relentless on this topic. Thanks for the link phrunt as it is very insightful. It appears to be on the up and up to me.

  5. On certain salt beaches I hunt, I too have a issue with salt balance. At these I ground balance in the damp sand then salt balance. Also try black sand on before salt balance. Looks like number 58 is the highest so far. IMO not offering any additional size coils will hurt sales. The small 8x11 coil is fine in the water. After that not so much.

I use mine for freshwater hunting in bad ground, relic and park hunting.  I purchased my MDT  in mid-October and is #000058.  How many did they plan on selling in their first year?

I do not know and all questions about the number sold to date has been called proprietary information. This is  why I tried to start this topic. Maybe more will join in. Thanks for joining in.

  7. I purchased my Tarsacci in February of 2019. It is # 000029 R1. Does anyone else care to share their information? If you are a salt water hunter I recommend this detector to all. It’s negative side for me is no additional coils are available and the 8” x 11” just seems small out of the water. This is only my opinion.

  8. I use the Souriau on all my Excals. just not to the extent of Joe. So far no problems but since i got the MDT they lay dormant haha. $2500 is not going to be paid off in my location for quite some time. Melt value and what you actually can get are two different things. I also don’t live in a target rich environment like Joe. MDT is better suited for the new drops here and the AQ use in the bay. Road trip !!!
