Nice hunt with some good finds, but I am sorry to hear about the water in the Nox.
Wish you good luck on getting it fixed quickly and hope you have better luck on your next hunt.

Looks like an old gas lamp pipe to me.
Hope to find a picture of one for you to see.
Great find and it should be brass.

That is not the way to rob a armored car, but I could see someone doing that in that part of the state.
I would hate to pick up all those coins just because I wouldn't be able to keep them.

Thanks for the beautiful scenes and I love the gold from that area.
Glad you have a great spot to find some nice size gold when you sluice, and I bet that creek has a lot of it in there.
I would be taking some bigger equipment to that spot to find a lot more of that gold. Don't get me wrong when I say big equipment as I am talking about a small personal tractor with a bucket on it and a small trommel.
Good luck on your next hunt and good going on the gold.

I find that when I am water hunting, I am constantly ground balancing because of hot rocks, black sand, and the ground changing all the time.
To compensate for this I turn down the sense and work from there. I do lose some depth, but I can detect with less noise and less falsing .
I found that one has to take the good with the bad when detecting creeks and streams, but the rewards are great if you just keep working at it.

We can put you down for another nice hunt with all that hard work you put in.
Great looking car and some nice change also.
Good luck on your next hunt and stay safe out there in the heat.

Looks like a good hunt no matter how you feel about it. The button is really nice and the ring was a bonus.
Was the ring silver or just metal?
Good luck on your next outing.

Welcome to the forum and were glad to have you here.
Good luck on your outings and stay safe out there.

I would hate to wear something with all those ridges on it as it would tear up the fingers.
Is there any markings on the inside of it? Could it have been decoration to a wax stamp or something?
Just a few thoughts, but I have to say it is very nice.
Great find and hope you have more luck on your next hunt.

Fantastic finds for such conditions to hunt in, Good luck on your next outing.

I see that you picked the best time to detect that spot, great finds for sure and hope you can get some more detecting time in before that job is done.
Good luck on your next hunt.

Nice hunt again for you as you keep finding the nice stuff.
Good luck on your next hunt and stay safe out there.

Welcome to the forum and I bet that you already know that we are here to help support all who wish to learn.
Many people on here can help with any questions that you have and give you some good advice for your equipment.
Since I am just a newbie here I can tell you that using your detector and knowing what it is saying to you will help so much. It will take time and patience to learn the better part of your machine, but stay with it for the rewards down the road.
Good luck and stay safe out there.

My grandmother used to be a hypnotist, and was able to help a lot of people remember where they had placed some items.
That is the only suggestion that I have and it does work if you want it to.
Good luck.

Nice find and I hope someone can identify it a little bit better, as I would love to see a photo os what they looked like new.
Good luck on your next outing and stay safe out there.

Nice finds and that had to be some hard work to get them.
Good luck on your next hunt.

Great place for a hunt to say the least, with some luck you may even find some nice treasure to bring back.
May Thor be with you.

Hope that the dog is doing better now and glad that the trip wasn't a total loss.
Nice finds and glad that you were able to keep from getting skunked.
Good luck on your next outing.

I want to thank everyone who replied on this thread as I have been thinking about getting a new detector so I could retire grandfathers 800.
It sounds as if there is very little difference in depth and performance of the 2 detectors, and they also have the same issues with EMI.
My area has a lot of EMI even out in the country as the power company uses a lot of WI-FI to the home electric meters.
I guess I will hold on to the 800, learn it more, and try to make grandfather proud that he left it to me.

Thanks for the video, very interesting.

Grandmother has had Lyme for over 8 years now and will always be on some kind of treatment for the rest of her life.

Welcome to the forum as we are always looking forward to hearing from new people about their finds.
I am sure that someone here can help you with the laws of your state or your local laws.
I usually get permission from some farm owners to hunt on their properties, look at old maps just to find old parks or schools, and then I start detecting those areas when I have time to get out.
Good luck and good hunting.
